Dmitry Alexandrovich Marin, a drama artist, graduated from the Higher Theater School named after M.S. Shchepkin (course of V.M. Beilis and V.N. Ivanov). During his studies, he established himself as a performer whose talent is not tied to any particular role, with the same success playing both dramatic and acute roles. The first great success of Dmitry Marin was his work in performances based on the works of F. M. Dostoevsky - Smerdyakov in The Brothers Karamazov and Raskolnikov in Crime and Punishment. These roles, filled with subtle psychological authenticity, allowed us to talk about the sophomore Marina as an artist who “can handle a serious repertoire.” The further repertoire of Dmitry was very diverse: he played in performances on domestic and foreign classics (Tikhon in “Thunderstorm” by A.N. Ostrovsky, Rudy Panko and Devil in “Miracle Night:” by “Night before Christmas” by N.V. Gogol; Milorad Tsvievich in “Doctor of Philosophy” by B. Nusich), in productions based on the works of Soviet authors (Procopius (“Vanya, how are you here?” by V. Shukshina), Silva in “The Elder sons”).
In 2005, Dmitry Marin was accepted into the troupe of the State Academic Maly Theatre. The young artist is immediately actively included in the current repertoire - he is introduced to the role of the Passer-by in the "Cherry Orchard" by A.P. Chekhov, the Unknown in the "Day is not necessary" by A.N. Ostrovsky and the Prince in the "Snow Queen" by E. Schwartz. Currently, Dmitry Marin is busy in rehearsals of the play "Poverty is not a vice", in which director Alexander Korshunov entrusted him with the role of a merry man and a balagur Grisha Razlyulyaev.
