Andre tried himself as a writer. In 2009, he wrote a book of memoirs, titled Frankly: An Autobiography, where he admitted that he had used the drug methamphetamine in 1997 by defrauding the ATP. According to Agassi himself, the use of drugs was caused by personal problems, not the desire to improve athletic performance.
