Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, along with his partner Don Simpson, have made many big Hollywood projects, including Ace School, The Rock and Armageddon.
In the early '70s, Bruckheimer was engaged in advertising. In 1983, together with Don, he formed Simpson-Bruckheimer Productions, where, in collaboration with Paramount Studios, he began to create ultra-high-budget adventure films.
Now this couple is considered one of the most successful in the film industry. They really complement each other perfectly. Simpson goes by the nickname "Mr. Inside" because he knows all the pitfalls of Hollywood. And Jerry Bruckheimer received the nickname “Mr. Outside”, as during his work in advertising thoroughly studied the filming process.
In 1990, their tacit agreement with Paramount ended because of the new Hollywood fashion to cut big budgets. The following year, Brookheimer and Simpson signed a five-year contract with Hollywood Pictures. It's hard to say which studio won, but Jerry and Don certainly didn't lose.
