If Bugs Bunny were to direct his signature inquiry--"What's up, doc?"--toward the modern-day Warner Bros. creative team, he wouldn't be far off. For 1001 Rabbit Tales, they've doctored up a batch of classic cartoons featuring the carrot muncher and his bumbling comrades and bundled them, near seamlessly, into a feature-length film. Here's the premise: Bugs and Daffy, both book salesmen, are competing to sell the most copies of a kids' book. Instead of burrowing a beeline to his sales territory (he should have made a left at Albuquerque), Bugs ends up in the castle of Yosemite Sam, here a harem-leading honcho. Sam's pain-in-the-spurs son, Prince Abalaba, needs somebody to read him stories; Bugs, who'd sooner take the job than suffer the alternative, that involving being boiled in oil, signs on. close

As a visual narrative it is reminiscent of a pile of postcards from a journey, which indeed is what the film is. It consists of a series of lengthy shots of a tableau nature, each appearing to be a more or less random cross section of American reality, but which in total invoke a highly emblematic picture of the USA. close

Gilligan's Planet is a Saturday morning cartoon produced by the Filmation animation studio and MGM/UA Television which aired during the 1982-1983 season on CBS. It was the second animated spin-off of the popular sitcom Gilligan's Island, the first being The New Adventures of Gilligan.
Gilligan's Planet was the last cartoon series that Filmation produced for Saturday mornings; afterwards, they produced cartoons exclusively for syndication. It was also the first Filmation series to feature the Lou Scheimer "signature" credit.
Gilligan's Planet was also the final 1980s Saturday morning cartoon to retain Charley Douglass's adult laugh track. Thereafter, Filmation dismissed Douglass' chuckles for its animated lineup as it transitioned to more heroically-themed cartoons that were more dramatic for a laugh track.
In 2012, Animation World Network named Gilligan's Planet the 57th greatest animated television series of all-time. close

“Axe porridge”, a bright animated film, was released in 1982 by cinematographer Ivan Ufimtsev with the help of puppet animation. On account of Ufimtsev such famous cartoons as “38 parrots”, “Losharik” and “Hedgehog plus turtle”. The plot is based on a Russian folk tale about a resourceful soldier who is always rescued by army wit.
Returning from the war to his native places, the hero on the way looks at the light to the grandmother Melania, who lives with her husband. The hostess is extremely stingy and, in order not to feed the uninvited guest, lies that there is nothing at all to eat in the house. Not at all embarrassed, the soldier offers to make porridge from an axe. Unable to object, the curious grandmother agrees and gives the soldier an axe for porridge. Thanks to resourcefulness, the soldier soon manages to prepare an extremely tasty porridge.
The characters were voiced by B. Vladimirov, N. Karachentsov and B. Novikov. In 1983, the film-continuation “How the old man was a hen” was released, created by the same I. Ufimtsev and telling about a soldier who again outsmarted the greedy old woman. close

Olli, the main character in the movie, got a very bad grade and is terribly annoyed. She runs away from home and, together with a dog and a horse, finds a (mad? nutty?) scientist in a windmill. They experience the strangest adventures in this windmill and find other interesting characters, a lot of excitement and peril. While you may well interpret something as the "socialist value system" into this movie, it is more meant to be a children's movie, showing the kids that there are more exciting things out there than the ones that your parents and teachers show you, and that you will only find out most of those things on your own, if you show enough curiosity. close

The director of the animated animated film "Stuffed-meat" is Inessa Kovalevskaya, who created a huge number of good cartoons, which are familiar to many since childhood. Among them are also magnificent “Bremen Musicians”, “Cateroc”, “The Tale of the Pop and the Worker of His Balda”.
The main character is a ridiculous black kitten named Chuchelo-Meauchelo, who now and then turns out to be in all sorts of funny situations.
Misunderstood purring
When the sun rises over the city and the residents begin to go about their business, a black kitten wakes up, living on the roof of the house where the dairy store is located. Stretching, he starts the song “Morning begins...”, but immediately loses his balance and falls into the gutter, thus being on the street. He offers a working loader to sing his song for him, for which he will have more fun and better work. But as soon as the kitten begins to sing, the stack of containers on which he climbs and which the loader so diligently folds, crumbles. Fleeing from the massacre, Chuchelo-Meauchelo flees rapidly, and hides in a wheelchair with a baby, whom he also did not fail to sing. However, angry mothers immediately throw out. The same story happens to the hero when he meets a solid man in a hat, and then the guys playing sports in the stadium.
Good friend
Unnecessary with his chants to anyone, he climbs to his roof and tightens a sad song about what makes everyone sick and sad. From this the sun was covered by clouds, the child in the wheelchair cried, and all their affairs did not work out. A cheerful girl who passed by asked Meuchel why he was singing such a sad song, to which he sadly replies that he would like to sing a cheerful one to help people, but it seems that no one needs it. In response, the girl wonders that this can not be, and they together begin to sing his song, in which they happily meet the new day. Like a magic wand, good weather comes, and everyone starts to succeed. So much so that the loader even treats the Stuffed Meuchelo with milk. close

Appearing in the city for a forest dweller is a difficult and, perhaps, dangerous undertaking. But it just so happened that the Mole and his friends Hare and Hedgehog fall into this stone jungle with tall houses and hard barren asphalt under their feet instead of the usual soft grass. Despite the noise, bustle and snooping cars everywhere, the adventures of the forest residents in the city will surely end safely.

One day the king got bored. And he asks the first counselor to help him have fun "so, usefully." The adviser proposes to the sovereign to announce to the people a kind of competition - everyone will tell stories, and to whom the ruler says "I do not believe" he will receive a prize - half the kingdom. And whoever the king believes, he must give up all his property. The governor must believe everything he is told. And flattered at the fabulous reward came to the king two brothers, the third remained waiting for them at home.
The cartoon “Who will tell a fable” was shot by Robert Sahakyanz (“In the blue sea in the white foam ...”, “You, Maslennitsa!”, “Three blue, blue lakes of raspberry color”). The film is based on an Armenian folk tale. close
