This documentary offers a rare glimpse of the legendary Soviet filmmaker, Andrei Tarkosvky, at work. In 1986, the Swedish Ministry of Health commissioned Roy Andersson to shoot a film about AIDS and the fight against it, which was planned to be shown to Swedish schoolchildren for educational purposes. In the process of working on the film, Roy Andersson delved into the independent study of the subject, as a result of which he came to the conclusion that the generally accepted version of the origin of AIDS from the African jungle was false, and that in fact the cause was laboratory experiments conducted in the United States in the 60-70s. The management of the Swedish Ministry of Health considered the author’s position of Andersson based on dubious sources of information and stopped financing the project in the midst of the filming process. As a result, the director had to edit the film from the material shot at that time, and the Swedish schoolchildren did not see anything. close
