Director, screenwriter and cameraman Peter Hyams was born on July 26, 1943 in New York City. He studied at Syracuse University and Hunter College, where he studied music and fine arts. He worked at CBS Studios for six years. Peter became interested in making documentary films. I did a lot of photography. In 1970 he moved with his wife and two children to Los Angeles. There Hyams successfully sold his script T.R. Baskin famous company Paramount Pictures.
He tried to direct the film Hellboy, but he was preferred by Guillermo Del Toro. In 2005, Hyams released the film “And Thunder Shot” based on Bradbury’s fantastic works. Although the painting was spent a lot of money, at the box office it raised little money.
In 2009, his new film, a remake of Beyond Reasonable Doubt, was released in 1956. Peter Hyams wrote the script himself. Michael Douglas and Amber Tamblyn played in the film.
In the same 2009, Peter as a cameraman works in the film “Universal Soldier 3”, which is directed by his son John.
Peter Hyams is considered one of the recognized masters of the American film industry. His most famous works are Space Odyssey 2010 (1984).
