David Thuey’s debut as a director took place in 1992 in the fantastic film Timescape based on the novella by Lawrence O Donnel and S. L. Moore “Mature Time” (Vintage Season). Actor Jeff Daniels, who starred in the film, won the Grand Prix at the International Fiction Film Festival. For his directing work in The Arrival, David Tui received the Saturn Award (1996). He also wrote scripts for Warlock (1989) and the sequel Warlock: The Armageddon (1993). In the 1994 film Terminal Velocity, David was not only a writer but also a producer. In 1995 he wrote the script for the film “Waterworld” (Waterworld), and in 1997 – for the film “Soldier Jane” (G.I. Jane).
