Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was born on November 17, 1958 in Oak Park, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois and the Champagne-Urbana School in vocals. She made her film debut in 1983 in Brian De Palm’s Scarface, and before that she performed as a singer, worked in various theaters, including Broadway.
