The famous Soviet director, playwright and writer Isaac Fridberg was born on January 1, 1947 in Vilnius. As a young man, he took part in the productions of the local National Theatre, in particular, helped to create a reconstruction of the play by Solomon Mikhoels “Freilechs”. And then he played in the play by Sholom-Aleichem "The Wandering Stars". There Isaac embodied the image of Leib Rafalovic. However, Fridberg entered not a creative, but a technical university – the Kaunas Polytechnic Institute.

However, Fridberg entered not a creative, but a technical university – the Kaunas Polytechnic Institute. After graduating in 1969, he worked as an engineer. At the same time, Isaac wrote and published in the press. He was called to serve in the army.
After serving, Isaac Fridberg entered the Higher script and directorial courses in the studio of the famous Eldar Ryazanov. He graduated in 1981. Friedberg participated in the creation of screenplays such as Forest Violets (1979), Wish Me No Flying Weather (1978) and Nest in the Wind (1978). He is also one of the authors of the documentaries We Are Men, Mother (1973) and I Love the Director (1979).
He was a writer and director.
Clash "Dear Edison!" (1986) and "A Walk on the Scaffold" (1991). In 1988, he released a film based on the script of Igor Ageev “Puppet”. The painting caused widespread discussion in the Soviet press.
Isaac Friedberg wrote several books, including Here I Am! (1996). In 1992, he directed the documentary “Artists of the Jewish Diaspora.” He worked on television, was the author and director of the program “On the river floats an axe...”
