Nikolai Volkov received the prefix “younger” to his surname when he became an actor. Since there was another actor Nikolai Volkov, his father. Volkov Jr. was born in Odessa in 1934. He entered the Odessa Art School, graduated from it and worked as an assistant director on television for two years. And then went to Moscow to study the acting profession. After graduating from the Shchukin Theatre School, Nikolai Volkov joined the troupe of the Moscow Drama Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya. The young talented actor was sympathized with the theater director Anatoly Efros. Almost every year Nikolai received a resonant role in a new performance, and he coped with it brilliantly. On his Podkolesin in “Marriage” Muscovites-theatres went to watch many times. A few years later, he was already the leading actor of the theater.
In 1987, Nikolai Volkov moved to the Mayakovsky Theater, where he played many classic iconic roles for the actor: Seneku in the Theater of the Times of Nero and Seneca, Klim Samgin in the Gorky play of the same name.
Nikolai Volkov began acting immediately after graduating from school. He played more than fifty roles in popular films.
Belarusian Railway Station "Behind the Clouds Sky", "Woman Who Sings", "Sicilian Protection", "Magic Black and White", "Mikhailo Lomonosov", "First Married" and others. The last works in the film by Nikolai Volkov were roles in the TV series “Dossier of Detective Dubrovsky” and the film “The Moon Was Full of a Garden”. This film collected many awards, and Volkov at the festival “Kinoshok” was awarded the award in the nomination “Best Actor”. But immediately after the film festival, Volkov was hospitalized. He had a rather rare and poorly diagnosed disease - myeloma, besides it was neglected. In 2003, the actor died. /
