He was born on January 4, 1955 in Moscow.
In 1978 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio (course of S. Pilyavskaya and V. Bogomolov) and was accepted into the theater troupe.
He made his debut as a Street Singer (The Life of Galileo).
Since 1987 he worked in the Moscow Art Theatre named after M. Gorky, where he played Glumov ("It is enough simplicity for any sage"), Vaska Ash ("At the bottom"), Koviel ("Mad-witted Jourden"), Nozdreva ("Dead Souls") and other roles.
Since 1990 he has been serving in the A. P. Chekhov MHT.
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
