Elena Obraztsova is an outstanding singer of our time.
Born in St. Petersburg. She graduated from the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in 1964. As a student, she received the first prize at the All-Union M.I. Glinka Vocalist Competition.
In 1964 she became a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre.
Laureate of the first prizes of the World Festival of Youth and Students in Helsinki (1968) and the International Competition of Musicians - Performers named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow (1970).
In 1970 she won the Grand Prix at the Francisco Viñas International Vocal Competition in Barcelona.

For outstanding services in the field of musical art Elena Obraztsova was awarded the highest state awards, she was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor and People's Artist of the USSR. She is a laureate of the Lenin Prize and the Glinka State Prize of Russia.
Since 1976 he has been teaching vocals at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, since 1984 he has been a professor. Pupils of Elena Obraztsova work in many musical theaters in Russia.
In 1986, the singer first performed on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre as an opera director, putting the opera Werther by J. Massnay, in which she performed the role of Charlotte.
