Roger George Moore was born on October 14, 1927 in London. At the age of 15, he entered the art school with an in-depth study of painting, later interned as an animator. His acting career began in 1945 with episodic roles in the theater and minor episodes in the cinema, posed in fashion magazines. He studied at the Royal Academy of Drama, then was drafted into the army, where by the end of World War II he rose to lieutenant of the 2nd rank. He studied at the Royal Academy of Drama, then was drafted into the army, where by the end of World War II he rose to lieutenant of the 2nd rank. After the army he worked in theater, radio and television. In 1953, Moore moved to the United States, where he signed a contract with MGM for supporting roles in several films. His first major role was in the film The Last Time I Saw Paris (1954), after which he played a lot in the B-class films of adventurous heroes. Fame came to the actor after playing the role of Simon Templer in the television series “The Saint” (1967-1969). In 1973, he first starred as James Bond in Live and Let Others Die. Subsequently, Moore repeatedly played 007 – “The Man with the Golden Gun” (1974), “The Spy Who Loved Me” (1977), “Munraker” (1979), “Personal Awareness Only” (1981), “Octopus” (1983) “The Right to Kill” (1985). Having become an international star, he simultaneously starred in other action films - "Wild Geese" (1978), "Escape to Athena" (1979), "With an Unprotected Face" (1984), "Apple!" (1990), "Saint" (1997). Married 3 times, father of three children.
