He was born on October 6, 1905 in Moscow. The son of the legendary opera singer Fyodor Chaliapin. His mother was the Italian ballerina Jole Tornagi. When his father was deprived of Soviet citizenship in 1922, his son Fyodor also moved abroad, lived in the United States, Germany, France, and after the war settled in Italy. Until the last days, F.F. Chaliapin starred in films, performed on the stage. He played one of the main roles - the blind monk Burgos - in the film "The Name of the Rose" based on the novel by Umberto Eco, embodied the image of Baron Rothschild and an old nobleman in the paintings.
He died on September 17, 1992 in Rome, Italy.
