American actor Thomas Arana was born on April 3, 1959 in Auburn, California. Thomas spent his childhood in San Francisco. There he graduated from the theater of the American Theater Conservatory, and then the city college. After graduation, Thomas moved to New York, where he performed in Broadway plays. He played leading and supporting roles in more than 30 European films, including films directed by Lina Wertmüller, Liliana Kavanie, Carlo Verdone, Michel Soavi and one of the most famous Japanese directors Koroshi Kurahara.
Thomas loved hitchhiking in Europe, especially Italy. He was very fond of painting, and Italy gave him the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of great artists, and he met many of them personally. Andy Warhol even painted a portrait of Thomas, who lived in two countries - the United States and Italy.
In 2000, Thomas Arana played the role of General Quint in Ridley Scott’s legendary film Gladiator, and also appeared in the second film in the Bourne series The Bourne Excellence. In the theater, Arana was a producer and leading actor on the stage of the world-famous theater “Falso Movimento”, based in Naples. Under the direction of Aran and artistic director Mario Martone, Falso Movimento received many prizes, including the Best Performance of the Year award, Best Scenography, and the Mondello Award.
Thomas Aran has a great track record.
