Nikolai Nikolaevich Eremenko Sr. - Soviet and Belarusian actor of theater and cinema, talented director, People's Artist of the USSR was born in 1926 in Novosibirsk. Nikolai Nikolaevich Eremenko Sr. - Soviet and Belarusian actor of theater and cinema, talented director, People's Artist of the USSR was born in 1926 in Novosibirsk. When the war began, Nikolai Eremenko was 15 years old. Three years later he went to the front, but was captured wounded. The future actor managed to survive in a fascist concentration camp, and then fought in an underground group. After the war, Nikolai Eremenko graduated from the theater studio in Vitebsk, and after a long time worked in the theater named after Y. Kolas. A few years later he moved to the Kupala Belarusian Academic Theatre in Minsk.
Nikolai Eremenko was married once and for life. People’s Artist of the Republic – Galina Orlova, was his muse and love. In 1949, a son was born in a happy marriage.

In the nineties, Nikolai Eremenko lost interest in work: he was already 70 years old, he suffered two heart attacks. But the son decided to breathe new life into his father:
film "Son for Father" He became a real therapy for Eremenko - he returned to the theater stage and played several more roles in cinema.
The June performance “Dear Liar”, where he played with his wife, in 2000 was held with a full house – the audience sat on the steps and literally “hung” on the chandeliers. It was the farewell of the artist with his wife and spectators – three days later Nikolai Nikolaevich Eremenko st. died of a heart attack.
In his play “The Costume”, the hero of the artist said: “Tell about me at least occasionally and remember kindly.” Artists live only in human memory.” These words became the testament of the artist himself. /
