Boris Petrovich Khimichev is of Ukrainian origin. He was born in the village of Balamutovka (Khmelnytsky region) on January 12, 1938. He did not come to the acting profession immediately: first he studied at the mathematics faculty of Kyiv University, and then changed one capital to another: he moved to Moscow to study in the theater, and as a result he graduated from the course of Pavel Masalsky at the Moscow Art Theater School - one of the strongest.
