And if in the cinema, large roles bypassed him, most often the actor appeared in supporting roles, episodes, then in the theater for many years he was among the leading artists.
The actor was born in December 1912 in one of the villages of the Vyatka province, studied at the pop and circus technical school in Leningrad, graduating in 1934. After graduation, he entered the troupe of the Baltic Fleet Theatre, giving it to the stage for more than twenty years. During the war he was an artist of the front brigade, traveled a lot to military units, performed concerts in front of soldiers. Then there were other Leningrad theaters - named after V. Komissarzhevskaya and the name of Lenin Komsomol, the last of which he played three years before retirement.
In the cinema, Mikhail Dmitrievich was more often seen in films-performances, shot by Leningrad television, also appeared in the films.
