Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha Who made her a star. Unfortunately, her acting fate so developed that she remained in the memory of fans of the actress almost this one role.
Galina Viktorovna was born on May 19, 1938 in the suburban village of Kalininsky (today – the city of Korolev). Stage fascinated in school, played in amateurism, but to study entered the chemist-technologist at MKTI named after Mendeleev. As a student, she enthusiastically indulged in her hobby, as she then believed - she played in the theater at the House of Officers. And once decided to try to enter the Shchukinsky school, where she was accepted. During her studies, she almost came to the stage of the Theatre on Small Bronnaya in the image of Marilyn Monroe – the actress inspiredly rehearsed her role in the play “After the Fall” by Arthur Miller, the former husband of the Hollywood star. But the performance was withdrawn from production due to the negative statements of its author about the USSR.
After studying, Figlovskaya for personal reasons preferred to go to work in the closed design bureau "ChimMash", where she was found by the director of the film "Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha" Vladimir Motyl, who offered Galina the main role.
After the success of the picture, Figlovskaya returned to her design bureau, where she was found by another famous director, Georgy Tovstonogov, who called her to BDT. Unfortunately, having played the main role in the production “Once again about love”, Galina Viktorovna no longer shone in leading roles – she got the roles of the second plan. Not developed her career in the cinema, where she appeared in several films, but everywhere remained unnoticed by the public.
In recent years, the actress, whose husband was writer and screenwriter Edgard Dubrovsky, the author of the script for the film “Cold Summer of the 53rd”, was a lot sick. She died on June 4, 2000.
