Born on October 4, 1923 in the capital of Azerbaijan Baku, actor. Laureate of the State Prize of the Azerbaijan SSR (1972 – for theatrical work). People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1972). Graduated from Baku Theatre School (1943). Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1941-1942, 1945-1968, since 1970 - actor of the Russian Drama Theater named after S. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1941-1942, 1945-1968, since 1970 - actor of the Russian Drama Theater named after S. Vurgun in Baku, in 1968-1970 - the Gorky Theater in Rostov-on-Don. In the cinema since 1958 (the first role is a patrolman in the film “On the Far Shores”), in eight films (1965-1975) he played F. E. Dzerzhinsky (“Emergency errand”, “Crash”, “Post Novel”, “Karl Liebknecht”, “Kremlin chimes”, “Peters”, “The Last Feat of Kamo”, “My Fate”.
He died on stage while touring in Israel.
