Born August 30, 1964 in Saratov. The beginning of his career is also connected with this city. In 1985, after graduating from the Saratov Theatre School named after I.A. Slonov, he became an actor of the Saratov Youth Theatre.
In 1988, realizing that he was interested in going further and learning new things, Igor Yatsko became a student of GITIS (course of Anatoly Alexandrovich Vasiliev), and two years later - an actor of the theater Anatoly Vasiliev "School of Dramatic Art".

The Vasilyev Theatre is, first of all, a School, and work in this theater is, first of all, a continuous process of learning, searching; it is constant laboratory work, various trainings, experiments, research. It was as a result of these laboratory works that such performances with the participation of Igor Yatsko appeared, as: "Today we improvise" L. Pirandello (1990), "The State" Plato (1992-2000), "Joseph and his brothers" T. Mann (1993), "Amphitrion" J.-B. Moliere (1994) " A.S. Pushkin. With these performances, together with ShDI, he visited many famous theater festivals.
Over time, teaching was added to acting, first within the walls of the School, since 2001 - in the Theatre Center "Ecole d'Art", in 2007 - in the International Slavic Institute named after G. R. Derzhavin.
In 2004, Igor Yatsko tried himself as a director. 24 Hour Happening "100 Years" Leopold Bloom Day. Extracting the Root of Time was listed in the Book of Records of Russia as the longest theatrical marathon. In 2005 he staged the play "Measure for Mera" (W. Shakespeare), in 2007 with the same young troupe of the theater - the play "Dog in the manger" (L. De Vega). In addition, 2007 was marked by a new director’s work in the walls of the School of Dramatic Art – “Coriolanus” (W. Shakespeare).
For the first time on the screen Igor Yatsko appeared in 2001 in a cameo role in the TV series “Black Room”. In 2002, A. Hwan’s film Shatun was released. The final monologue of the hero Igor Yatsko from this film became a kind of calling card of the actor. After that, he was noticed and began to invite other directors.
