In the asset of the Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Yushkevich – a huge number of theatrical works and about three dozen roles played in cinema. This is a very talented actor and accomplished person who has understood a lot in life and is able to share a lot.
Sergey Yushkevich was born in Chernivtsi on July 9, 1967. His family was incomplete. My mother worked as an engineer and tried to raise her son a decent person.
In 1989, Yushkevich became a student of the Shchukin Theatre School, after which he was admitted to the troupe of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theatre, to which he gave six years. Many roles have been played in this theater. Among them is the role of the actor in the play “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead” based on the play by T. Stoppard, the role of Nikolai Glukhovtsev in “Student’s Love” and Heinrich Tille in “Dog Waltz” by L. Andreev.
In 1999, Sergey Yushkevich moved to work in Sovremennik, where he debuted as Otto Kesner in Three Comrades by Erich Maria Remarque.
Sergey Yushkevich also performed on the stage of the Pushkin Theatre, playing the role of Montague in the play Romeo and Juliet directed by R. Sturua.
The debut of Sergei Yushkevich in the cinema took place in 1993. It was a small episode in the thriller Full Moon. Yushkevich’s next role was more significant. He appeared in the image of Stepan in the film “Golden Ring, a bouquet of scarlet roses”, filmed by director Dmitry Dolinin based on the story of A. Chekhov “In the ravine”. This is a very serious work that has nothing to do with popular culture. He did not bring Yushkevich popularity among the audience, but the actor spoke with great respect in professional circles.
Four years later, Sergei Yushkevich played a very difficult role of Andrei in the drama of Vyacheslav Sorokin “Totalitarian novel”. Then there were a lot of supporting roles. And the most notable work of Yushkevich, apparently, was the role of Victor in
drama "Oligarch" Pavel Lungin.
In recent years, Yushkevich starred in a variety of films and TV series. He does not experience a lack of proposals, and every year he becomes an increasingly popular actor. /
