When Joe reached the age of ten, his father died under unexplained circumstances. The family moved back to New York. Here Morton graduated from high school, and then Hofstra University, where he studied dramatic art.
The young actor was lucky enough: his first professional theatrical role he received in the cult musical Hair, and a few years later he was awarded the Tony Award for playing in the musical production Raisins. The actor was noticed and invited to TV and film projects. Morton is known for his participation in such series as Law & Order (2005), All My Children, Smallville Mysteries (2002–2003), and House Doctors (2004–2009).
"Storage 13" (2009-2011). In the series, he usually got the roles of good and decent people, but in the luggage of films, this actor has much more variety. Joe is known for the films “Crossroads” (1986), “Terminator: Judgment Day” (1991), “Speed 20” (1997), “The Hour of Payback” (2003).
Joe Morton is also famous as a director, but in this field he was expected to fail. One of Joe’s TV shows was shut down after two episodes.
