Kazimierz (Casey) Semashko was born on March 17, 1961 in Chicago. His father came from Poland after his release from a concentration camp and founded the dance group Kosciuszko Dancers in the United States, in which he made his debut at the age of five. He later graduated from Goodman Theatre School and began a professional career in theater before moving to Los Angeles, where he spent another four years before being offered a role in the film Class. In 1985, Robert Zemeckis took him to his film Back to the Future for the role of 3-D, in 1989 Casey repeated the same character in the sequel. Since then, Casey has worked with Steven Spielberg on an episode of Amazing Stories, Rob Reiner on Stand by Me and Mike Nichol on Billoxi Blues.
