Valentin Pavlovich Bukin was born in Ulan-Ude on July 1, 1942. Since childhood, Valentine loved to draw and dreamed of becoming an artist. But once he had the chance to play the role of the King in a school play, and since then he has fallen in love with the theater. After graduation he entered the Irkutsk Theatre School. Valentin Pavlovich Bukin was born in Ulan-Ude on July 1, 1942. Since childhood, Valentine loved to draw and dreamed of becoming an artist. But once he had the chance to play the role of the King in a school play, and since then he has fallen in love with the theater. After graduation he entered the Irkutsk Theatre School. After successful graduation, he worked in the Ulan-Ude Drama Theater, since 1971 he moved to the troupe of the Smolensk Drama Theater. Bukin could be seen on the stage of the Skomorokh Theater, in the Leningrad Comedy Theater, as well as in the theaters of Minsk. Bukin was professionally fond of sports - he was a gymnast, and also engaged in boxing (he was the champion of Buryatia among young men).
His first roles on the screen were in fairy tales for children. In 1973, the first fairy-tale film with his participation “Woe to fear – happiness not to see”, followed by the well-known film “The Adventures of Buratino” in 1975, where Valentine played a small role as the chief of police. And in the future, Valentin Bukin many times starred in films for children: “Marks of the country of Gondelup” in 1977, “About Red Riding Hood” in 1977, “Hands up” in 1981, “Sold Laughter” in 1981, etc.
Bukin also played in serious films. During his long career as an actor, he starred in many films, most of his roles were small, but immediately attracted attention and remembered by the audience. The most famous films with his participation are “Everything will be fine”.

Valentin Bukin was awarded the title of “Honored Artist of Russia” in 2003. Currently, the actor lives in St. Petersburg, he continues to act in films and TV series. Bukin wrote a book of his stories and poems “Gray in the head – demon in the rib!”
