Ted Hartley (Ted Hartley) is a former American military, fighter pilot, later made a career as an investment banker, and then a Hollywood producer. Born on November 6, 1924 in Iowa, he grew up on a farm but always dreamed of more. At the age of 14, writing an essay on “Why I Want to Fly,” Ted managed to win a competition announced by Warner Bros. and got the opportunity to take a flight training course. He underwent flight training at the naval school, successfully flew, until in 1964 an airplane accident and the resulting injury put an end to his further career.
But Hartley was not confused - after finishing his military career, he began financially, becoming vice president of the First Western Finance Corporation. At the same time, he first appeared in Hollywood, playing the role of the holy father in the TV series Peyton Place.
He had minor roles in films with Clint Eastwood, Carey Grant and Robert Redford, then Hartley was artistic director of the theater in Aspen, and in 1987 he began producing films, acquiring in 1989 a pair with his wife shares of RKO Pictures, Inc. This film studio produced films such as
"Mighty Joe Young" Reasonable Doubt, The Farewell Quartet and
"Especially dangerous" .
