Peteris Gaudins was born on August 26, 1954 in Riga. His parents were doctors. After receiving a school certificate, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and mother and entered the Riga Medical Institute. But Peteris studied there for only a year, realizing that medicine attracts him little. After that he passed the competition in the acting studio and in 1977 became a graduate of the theater faculty of the Latvian Conservatory.
Graduate works of Peteris in the play “The Seagull” by A. Chekhov and in Shakespeare’s play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” were included in the repertoire of the Riga Academic Theatre named after J. Rainis, where the actor was distributed after the university.
Peteris has established himself as an excellent theater director. His productions “Foxes”, “Boys from Pala Street”, “Steel Magnolias”, “Love Letters” were a great success with the Baltic theater.
In the movie, the beautiful actor, the audience saw in the romantic film “Vey, Wind!”, very reminiscent of the plot of our “Snow Maiden”. Popularity gained after the role of Roger in the famous film by Ian Strache “Theater” based on the novel by S. Maugham, Arthur Mesham in the film “Glass of Water”, after the release of the tapes
