Award for directing at the IFF in West Berlin.
An old bachelor Pishta works at a railway post somewhere on the periphery. At first glance, he seems a tragicomic figure, far beyond the bounds of attractiveness. Low, full and very unhappy. He is completely alone and not interesting to anyone around him. His complexes, unfulfilled desires and constant unsuccessful attempts to find a girlfriend he treats mainly with alcohol and dreams of love adventures. More than anything, he wants a full relationship and a little dignity. This search for Pishta is the basis of the story about people at the edge of society. These include Faith, which Pishta desires very much, as well as his colleague and drinking companion Vinzo, who for Pishta is the inaccessible ideal of the village Casanova and in whom Vera is in love. These three faces form a triangle around which the action is built. close
