American actor, dancer and choreographer Gregory Hines was born on February 14, 1946 in New York City. At the age of five, together with his brother Maurice, he began tap dancing. On account of Gregory Hines more than 40 different works in the cinema, including comedy roles in the films: “The Hustle of the Century”, “World History, Part One”, “Fury in Harlem”, “Waiting to Exhale”, “Renaissance Man”, “Running Without Looking Back”. There were roles in mystical and fantastic films. The most famous of them are “Eve of Destruction”, “Wolves”. Along with this, Gregory hosted the entertainment program “Gregory Hines Show” on television. One of the last works of Hines was shooting in the film “The Road to Fame”, where he played the role of the famous Bill Robinson.
The famous actor and dancer died on August 9, 2003 in Los Angeles from liver cancer.
