Very often, becoming an adult and achieving incredible success in the acting profession, Tony recalled his childhood, the years of youth that passed in his native Green Bay. Mischievous, restless boy drove with friends to football, very loved sports, not giving much preference to any of them.
From a young age, Tony fell in love with movies, the boy could several times watch the picture he liked, imagining himself in the place of the beloved movie hero. When Tony was six years old, his older sister took him to the Anthony Theatre to participate in a school production. With the performance, little Shelhaub failed, however, the first failure did not disappoint the boy, and he carried his love for the theater through his life.
After successfully graduating from high school, Tony decided to continue his studies and entered the University, which is located in Portland, Maine, USA.
In 1980, Tony Shelhaub graduated from Yale Drama School. In 1992, the actor married the famous actress Brooke Adams, whom he met on the stage of Broadway, where they played together in plays. The couple are raising two adopted daughters – Sofia and Josie Liin.
