Terry Crews was born on July 30, 1968 in Flint, Michigan. After graduating from the Southwest Academy in 1986, he entered the Interlochen Art Center, where he studied art history on a scholarship program, and then studied at the University of Western Michigan.

At the end of his studies, Terry became a member of the university football team WMU. Terry Crews managed to get a considerable number of awards as the best defender. After that, he was invited to play in the NFL San Dingo Chanders in the National Football League. Terry played six seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Washington Redskins and San Dingo Chanders, Philadelphia Eagles. But in 1997, Terry decided to retire from the sport.
Early in his acting career, Terry Crews starred in the American Gladiators television series Battle Dome. Next was the role of handsome Latrell Spencer in the crime comedy White Chicken. Along with rapper Ice Cube, Terry appeared in the comedy “Another Friday”.
Many viewers know Terry Crews from the comedy series Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2008), in which he played a strict but loving father Chris and the economic head of the family.
Together with Adam Sendler, Terry Crews starred in the films All or Nothing, Click: With a Remote in Life, in the film The Bench along with Rob Schneider, with Eddie Murphy in the film Norbit Tricks. He played President Camacho in the famous comedy Idiocracy. In addition, Terry Crews can be seen in the films Inland Empire.
