Yuri Avsharov was born in Baku on December 22, 1937. He graduated from the Shchukin Theatre School in 1961 with a degree in drama theater and cinema. Since 1962, he served in the Moscow Theater of Satire. Then Avsharov launched an extensive pedagogical activity, starting with a simple teacher and ending with the head of the department of actor skills at the International Slavic Institute G. R. As a connoisseur of the work of Mikhail Chekhov, Yuri Avsharov conducted master classes on Chekhov at international seminars (Latvia, Great Britain, Berlin).
Yuri Avsharov played a large number of roles in the theater. All his roles Avsharov made interesting and unique. Among the most famous is the role of the Commander in the play “Don Juan, or Love for Geometry”, music teacher Countess Basil in “The Marriage of Figaro”, planted father in the play “Bedbug”, Starodum in the play “Nodorosl”, the judge Tyapkin-Lapkin in “The Inspector”, Dubaton in the play “Ornifle” and Africana pop in “Running”. The last performance of Yuri Avsharov in the theater was the play “Triumph on Triumph”.

Yuri Avsharov was not only an unusually talented actor, but also a brilliant teacher. He had deep erudition and the ability to constantly surprise his viewer.
Avsharov died in 2010 in Moscow, buried at the Vagankovo cemetery.
