Arif Tagiyevich Aliyev was born in 1960. After graduating from the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers, he worked as a sound operator at the Gorky Film Studio. In 1990, Aliyev graduated from the script faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). As a screenwriter, he made his debut in 1992 with the film “Ticket to the Red Theater, or Death of the Grave Digger” by Amurbek Gobashyev. Arif Tagiyevich Aliyev was born in 1960. After graduating from the Leningrad Institute of Film Engineers, he worked as a sound operator at the Gorky Film Studio. In 1990, Aliyev graduated from the script faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). As a screenwriter, he made his debut in 1992 with the film “Ticket to the Red Theater, or Death of the Grave Digger” by Amurbek Gobashyev. Wide recognition was brought to him by the dramatic film “The Caucasian Prisoner”, staged by Sergei Bodrov Sr. in 1996. For this work, he as a co-author of the script was awarded the State Prize of Russia. Then followed the picture of Denis Evstigneev “Mother” (1998), and in 2002 the same director on his script put the film “Make Love”. Arif Aliyev is also known as a journalist, the author of many articles on tourism and travel around the world. As a columnist, he actively cooperates with the magazine Voyage and Rest.
