His homeland is the city of Vitebsk. Nevedsky was born here on October 13, 1939 and still retains attachment to his native places. He was left alone at the age of 14 – his parents died early – and he had to achieve everything in this life with his own work, talent and perseverance. When Leonid was only 16 years old, director Vladimir Yakovlevich Motyl invited him to the Sverdlovsk Theatre, where the young man worked side by side with venerable masters of the stage. Then in his life there were scenes of theaters of Novgorod and Murmansk.
After graduating from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in 1967, Leonid became a member of the Leningrad BDT troupe. And very soon they talked about him as a new star of the Bolshoi Drama Theatre, putting the newcomer on a level with such stars as Efim Kopelyan, Yevgeny Lebedev, Lyudmila Makarova. It was on the stage of BDT Nevedsky took part in the productions of “Threshold” and “Private”. Another passion of the actor is “Russian Enterprise” named after Andrei Mironov, where Nevedsky created images of Jean Valzhan (“Les Miserables”), Zakhar (“Oblomov”), Mironov’s father (“Oh, my jester, I’m going crazy ...”).
One of the leading roles of Nevedsky in the cinema is the images of the military and law enforcement officers – the roles of real men. This was his first role in cinema – the role of Stepan Cebotar in the Moldovan heroic adventure film Bitter grains, which was released in 1966. Then there were works in films and TV projects: “Izhora Battalion”, “Privalov Millions”, “Old Fortress”, “Flame”, “Strogov”, “Red diplomatic couriers”, “Gypsies”, “According to criminal investigation”, “Syndicate-2”, “Through Gobi and Khingan”, “Return of Budulai”, “Scorched by Kandahar”, “Empire under attack”, “Streets of broken lanterns”.
