Anton Romanovich Khomiatov, a drama artist, was born on March 13, 1963. In 1988, Anton graduated from the Higher Theatre School named after M.S. Shchepkin and was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Young Theatre, where he played his first role - Slavka in the play by playwright Alexander Zheleztsov "51 ruble (nail)". In the same 1988, Khomiatov moved to the Gorky Drama Theater in Volgograd. Together with the director O. Dzhangisherashvili and twenty-five other young artists, he begins the reconstruction of the drama theater. In 1990, thanks to their efforts, the New Experimental Theatre opened. Among the roles played by Anton Khomiatov during this period are Tibald ("Romeo and Juliet" by W. Shakespeare), Podsekalnikov and Viktor Viktorovich ("Suicide" by N. Erdman), Sganarel ("Don Juan" by J. B. Moliere), Pera ("Mistress Minister" B. Nusich). In the American director J.Abbady’s production of “Tram “Desire” by T. Williams Khomiatov got the role of Stanley. With this work, he participates in touring in the United States (Cleveland).
Upon his return from Volgograd in 1992, the artist worked for some time in the Theater on Pokrovka, where he rehearsed Kirillov in “Demons” according to F. M. Dostoevsky, but the work was suspended; Khomiatov resigned and moved to the Roman Viktyuk Theatre, where he played from 1992 to 1994. Among other things, Anton participates in acclaimed performances "M. Butterfly" (Toulon) and "Lolita" V. Nabokov (Dick, husband of the title character).
After leaving the Viktyuk Theatre, Anton Khomiatov for several months serves in the Gorky Moscow Art Theatre, where he rehearses the role of Zhadov in A.N. Ostrovsky’s Revenue Place.
In 1994, Anton Khomiatov came to the State Academic Maly Theatre. From the very first days of work in the House of Ostrovsky, the young artist is actively included in the current repertoire. Excellent external data, outstanding talent, wide range of acting talent, bright individuality, rich inner world and powerful artistic temperament - all these qualities allow Khomiatov every year to replenish his creative baggage with a variety of roles. Among his works are the Dove-son ("Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich" by A.K. Tolstoy), the father of the hegumen, Matvey Khomyak and Prince Afanasy Vyazemsky ("Prince Silver" by A.K. Tolstoy), Gorodnichiy ("Humpbacked Horse" by P.P. Ershov), Rumyantsev and Vyazemsky ("Tsar Peter and Alexei" by F. Gorenstein), Vasya Shury ("Hot Heart" by A.K.Tstogorodniytstogorodniy" by A.K.Tstogorodniy (K.Tstogorodniy) and many others), A.Tstogorodnikov (N.Tstogorodniy (N.Tstogorodniy) by A.Tstogorodniy (N.Tstogorodnikov) and A.Tstogorodniy (K.Tstogorodniy
Currently, Anton Romanovich Khomiatov is one of the leading artists of the Maly Theatre. In his current repertoire, such roles as the noble Francis I, who remains the true king in prison (Secrets of the Court of Madrid by E. Scrib and E. Leguve), the reckless slacker Claudius Goretsky (Wolves and Sheep by A. N. Ostrovsky), the orderly Podkhaluzin, a callous and calculating intriguer under the mask of a “little man” (“We will consider our people!” by A. N. Ostrovsky), F. Stuart F. Stuartovsky (Margraf). As if in the peak of his wonderful texture, Anton tries himself in an age role - an important place among his works is occupied by the boyar Zakharin-Yuriev, the closest adviser to Ivan the Terrible, a wise elder who tries to keep the sovereign from ever-new madness ("Tsar John the Terrible" by A.K. Tolstoy). Anton Khomiatov is distinguished by brilliant organics, subtle psychologicalism and attention to the smallest details, unrestrained imagination and an excellent sense of humor. This allows the artist not only to bring new bright colors to the time-tested production (a colorful episode with a local journalist Golutvin from A.N. Ostrovsky's "For Every Sage Enough Simplicity"), but also to set a different, most interesting tone for the performance as a whole. The last work of Anton Khomiatov is Vadim Dulchin (The Last Victim by A.N. Ostrovsky). In the interpretation of Khomiatov, the character appears as a real player. A mature, wise man, he nevertheless subordinates to his fatal weakness all thoughts, feelings and actions. Alphonse is not a "vocation", it's just the easiest way to get money for the game. However, he is courageous, charming and easy to communicate. It seems that Dulchin himself does not know how much he loves Yulia, realizing this only at the false news of her death. Khomiatov creates a bright, complex and contradictory image that gives a new sound to the performance in general and the relationships of other characters in particular.
Anton Khomyatov participated in the entrepreneurial performance "Madame, we are going to Acapulco!" I. Zhamiak. In February 2006, in the Moscow Art Theatre named after Gorky, the premiere of the play “Hostages of Love” based on the play by Yuri Polyakov took place, in which the actor played the main role of Yuri Yurievich.
Since 1994, Anton Khomiatov has been an active participant in various Moscow theatrical performances - he plays the role of Peter the Great.
Anton has successfully acted in films and television. Viewers know him for such series as "Gold of Ugra", "Doomed to become a star", "The Secret Sign. Formula of Happiness-3", "Attempt", the films "The Blameless", "There is no extradition from the Don".
