Vitaly Pavlovich Chetverikov began his professional career as a military, and eventually came to the director's profession, which he gave about three decades of his life. During his career, the Quartet made about a dozen feature films and several documentary films. He died on August 26, 1983, and in 2001, the film director Yuri Marukhin shot a documentary about him “To catch up to the night.”
