Nina Afanasievna Sazonova was born in the Moscow province, the village of Konstantinovo, January 7, 1917. Almost all the childhood and youth of the girl passed in Kimry, on the Volga. Nina Afanasievna Sazonova was born in the Moscow province, the village of Konstantinovo, January 7, 1917. Almost all the childhood and youth of the girl passed in Kimry, on the Volga. Her first stage performances began in school years, and at the age of 17, Nina entered the Central Academic Theater of the Red Army, where she studied under the guidance of Alexei Popov.
During the war years, the young actress, along with the troupe of her theater, toured almost the entire front, performing in more than three thousand concerts. In the summer of 1942, she was surrounded by enemies, but miraculously escaped, hiding in a haystack with one of the officers. Once in the occupied territory, she tried to cross the front line, but was detained by counterintelligence. After military doctors diagnosed her with schizophrenia, she was released.
In the 60s, Nina Sazonova gained popularity in the Soviet Union, the audience noticed her after the picture appeared on the screens.

Nina worked in the theater of the Soviet Army for more than 60 years, starred in a variety of roles, visited and Catherine II, and grandmother. She was awarded the title of People’s Artist of the Soviet Union, awarded the Order of Lenin, various medals, and in 2000 she received the Order of Merit to the Fatherland of the IV degree.
In 2001, during the New Year holidays, Nina Sazonova was found in a terrible condition on the floor of her apartment. Neighbors, hearing incomprehensible sounds, called the police, who arrived in time and the actress was able to save. According to the official version, her son attempted on her life, and, thinking that her mother was dead, committed suicide by jumping out of the window of a multi-storey building. However, everything went well, and gradually the actress recovered.
Nina Sazonova died in February 2004 of a heart attack.
