Sean Biggerstaff was born on 15 March 1983 in Glasgow, Scotland. Sean's mother was a school teacher and his father was a firefighter. The actor spent his childhood near Glasgow, in the small province of Maryhill.
He graduated from school in Millgay, where he met Denis, who later became his best friend. At the age of seven, Sean began attending a local drama club, playing in a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Augustus. And his best friend in the same play played the role of Gramp.

At the age of 10, the actor participated in all proposed productions and any activities related to acting.
At the age of 11, he entered the Theatre of Youth, where he received the experience that helped him to create a future career. In the same theater, Sean met Paul Kelly, later they jointly formed the group Crambo. Until 1999, the actor played guitar and sang as part of the band.
He got his first role in a small series in 1996, the film was called “The Raven’s Road”. His career breakthrough came in 1997, when he was invited to play in the film.
