Jim Parsons, like his character, was born in Houston, Texas on March 24, 1973. At the age of six, Jim decided that he wanted to become an actor after successfully playing the role of a bird in a children's play. Since then, he has loved sitcoms and TV series.
By nature, Jim Parsons is not at all a social phobia, but a cheerful and pleasant person, who even at the graduation evening at school was awarded a diploma for sociability. At university, Jim was also on good terms with his classmates. There he took an active part in the theater company and played in 17 productions. In 2001, after graduating from a theater program in San Diego, Parsons moved to New York.
After several small theatrical and serial roles in 2003, Jim played in a commercial a man who grew up with wolves, and talked about him.
In 2007, at the casting of “The Big Bang Theory”, Jim Parsons impressed the creator of the series Chuck Laurie, and he was approved for the role of Sheldon Cooper. Since then, the popularity and fees of the actor are growing every year. In 2009, he received an Emmy Award, and in 2011 – a Golden Globe as best comedy actor.
He also continues to star in a big movie. Last year, Jim Parsons played a prince in Cooler and a strange guy in Big Year.
Star status has not changed the friendly and peaceful character of Jim Parsons – he maintains warm relations with colleagues on the television series and respectfully treats the staff.
