Miller became the first American director who was criminally responsible for an accident on filming and received a real prison term. The court sentenced the director to two years in prison. Operator Sarah Jones died, hitting the train, on the site of the film on February 20, 2014. In addition to imprisonment, Miller was also sentenced to a fine of 25 thousand dollars, 360 hours of community service and an eight-year suspended sentence, during which he is prohibited from directing and any other activity, including responsibility for the safety of crew members.
