From early childhood, the boy firmly decided that he would become an actor, and at the age of seven he began to perform in productions of the Salem Theatre College. At the age of twelve, the future actor with his family moved to the city of Minneapolis, where he immediately entered the children's theater school, and then graduated from the university in New York.
Justin's first theatrical work was a role in the Broadway play Any Given Day, which was staged at the Longer Theatre. The boy brilliantly coped with the role and in 1994 received an invitation to take part in the play Love! Valor! Compassion!
The debut of the young actor on television took place in 1995 with a cameo role in the CBS drama television series New York News, and the first significant work for the guy was the role of Bobby Brahms in the comedy television film directed by Joe Mantello “Love, Valor, Compassion” in 1997. This film was an adaptation of the play of the same name. It was the role of Bobby that brought Justin popularity and critical acclaim.
In 1999, Kirk was invited to the role of Eric Plummer in the famous series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, as well as one of the roles in the comedy television series.
