Gillian Jacobs is an American film actress from Pennsylvania. Gillian was born in Pittsburgh, but later her family moved to Mount Lebannon, where the future actress studied at Lebanon High School, which she graduated in 2000. Subsequently, there were several cameo roles in such serial television projects as Fringe, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Book of Daniel.
In 2006, Gillian began performing on the Off-Off-Broadway stage in Chris Denham’s Cagelove. Despite the fact that the overall reaction of film critics was negative, however, the actress still received several positive responses. In addition, she took an active part in theatrical performances The Little Flower of East Orange, A Feminine Ending and The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman.
In 2008, Gillian Jacobs was invited to take part in the filming of two films – Choke and Gardens of the Night. Subsequently, she was noticed by representatives of the NBC television channel, and in 2009 she was able to make her way into the main cast of the television series Community, which later made her popular.
In 2013, the actress took part in the filming of the film.
