Noomi Rapace was born on December 28, 1979 in the Swedish city of Hudixvall. Nomi’s father, Rogelio Duran, was a famous flamenco dancer. He passed away in 2007. Mother, Nina Noren, popular Swedish actress.
When Nomi was five years old, his mother and daughter went to Iceland, where Noomi first appeared on the screen at the age of seven. She played a small role in the film The Shadow of the Raven directed by Hrafn Gunnlaugsson. The girl enjoyed playing in front of the camera and decided to become an actress.
In an ardent informal Noomi Noren turned into thirteen years. With her hair etched white and a bunch of earrings, she was hard to recognize.
At the age of fifteen, the girl left her mother’s house and went to Sweden. In Stockholm, she enrolled in theater school, and in 1996 she already starred in Three Crowns, a rather famous television series.
From 1998 to 1999, Noomi honed her acting skills at Skara Skolscen Studios. And the following year she already played on the stages of the Stockholm theaters.
Success for the young actress came with the Danish film Daisy Diamond (2007), in which she starred as a single mother, a failed actress. This role earned Nomi the Bodil Award (the Danish equivalent of the Oscar).
The world fame of the actress brought the film trilogy “Millennium”, created on the basis of the books by Stig Larsson, where she played Lisbeth Salander, a hacker girl with great psychological problems. For the sake of this role, Nomi changed her appearance beyond recognition: she did piercing, pumped muscles and engaged in Thai boxing and kickboxing. All the tricks in the paintings she performed independently, even in the most terrible and cruel scenes worked without a double. Noomi Rapace created a cult character, and the Millennium film trilogy was awarded many prestigious awards.
Noomi is married to Ola Rapas, a Swedish actor, and the couple has a son named Leo. /
