I have no idea what's in the Daredevil comic book, but it's really cool. I looked in one breath, almost without stopping.
I don’t like this superhero thing, I don’t know why I watched it. It wasn’t really about superheroes. It looks like a criminal action movie, but the main character does not wear Magnum, but wields his fists. Superpower of the main character -
This is the only fantastic thing, and if it were removed at all, the series would not be boring.
The first series did not catch me at all, or rather pushed me away. I had no idea who the Bold Devil was or what his abilities were. So I wondered why a blind man did what not every sighted man would even try.
But the ratings of the audience kept me going and I watched the second series. She took me by the breasts, hit me a couple of times against the wall, poured boiling water and then gave me a blowjob. Wow! I managed to worry about the heroes, fall in love with them and let down a tear.
The coolest thing here is the characters. I will say nothing except that they are perfectly spelled out, for it is necessary to see. The story as a whole does not cause controversy either. The unnatural yellow light from the windows reminds us of this all the time, but you still forget about it after a minute, because everything is very realistic.
There's blood here, too. For me, this is a sign of quality in action films. We made it.
Watch everyone and boys (fights, action, murder) and girls (heated passions, the main character is just the best)
The series 'Daredevil' from Netflix, from the very first teaser came under the scrutiny of fans of comics in the Marvel universe. In Russia, the hero Daredevil is familiar to many from the failed film of the same name, the main role in it was played by Ben Affleck. The film was for connoisseurs of the universe a real blow, literally a spit in the face, and the tight leather suit on Affleck looked as squalid as possible. As a result, after the release of the film about Daredevil, filmmakers forgot and were unlikely to return. But thank God the director of the series 'Spartacus', Stephen DeKnight, took up the project about the national avenger in the format of the series.
'I see the world on fire.'
So what about the series 'Daredevil'? Matt Murdoch is a lawyer who, along with his friend Foggy Nelson, opens a law firm in his hometown of New York. The area is called Hell’s Kitchen and has the status of the most gangster, rotten and forgotten by the authorities. As a child, Matt rescues an old man from a truck racing at full speed. The car was carrying chemicals that hit the main character in the eyes and Murdoch loses his sight. Matt grew up with his father, who was a boxer and cared for his son until the last seconds of his life.
Hell's Kitchen is the place Matt Murdoch will give his life for. Daredevil is a classic masked avenger, his story is similar to Batman. Iron motivation 'The Devil from Hell's Kitchen' one can only admire. Despite his loss of vision, Matt developed his other human senses to incredible levels. He doesn't have to see, he punishes bad guys.
Playing a blind person is hard, focusing your eyes on one point all the time is incredibly difficult. The lead actor in the series, Charlie Cox, did a titanic job on the image. This is what we were waiting for!
In addition to Charlie Cox, I would like to highlight a few more acting works:
Rosario Dawson - Daredevil's girlfriend, one of the few who knows the true identity ' The Man in the Mask' It’s hard to call her Murdoch’s girlfriend, but I think that’s exactly what it’s all about. We all know how Dawson can play, her facial expressions, pain in the eyes, every appearance is a holiday.
Vincent D’Onofrio is the legendary Ambal, the villain against whom the Punisher fought (besides Daredevil). Huge, monumental, hammering opponents with fists. A child inside a criminal authority's body. Hard and at the same time vulnerable, sensual, worried about people close to him. His most famous role Vincent played in the film Stanley Kubrick ' All-metal shell' where he appeared on the screen in the image of Private Homer 'Cookie' Pyle. Even then, Vincent showed how wonderful he can play psychopaths, remember the scene in the bathroom! That look, that scream ' I'm already in shit!!!' in ' Daredevil' 20 years later, Onofrio reopened. Perhaps his Ambal, this is the best acting work in the series.
Initially, there was no violence in the series. The new fashion set ' Gotham', 'Flash' and 'Arrow' was supposed to affect 'Daredevil' but it turned out to be completely different. Tough, bloody, bleeding from head to toe, uncompromising - it's a direct hit. Now you lose the sense of comics of what is happening, you are afraid for the heroes in this terrible world, you realize that each of them is mortal and can die at any moment. Even the main character, receiving wounds, heals them several series in a row, bruises remain on his face, and scars on his body and because of this he has to come up with various reasons so that acquaintances do not know anything.
The series 'Daredevil' met all my expectations.
Looking forward to Season 2.
“DC is tougher,” they said. “Marvel is for children,” they said.
I have to say, superhero stories have always fascinated me. I read comics, watch movies, TV series. But Daredevil as an interesting character and watching this series did not even think. But the good reviews and ratings on Movie Search and IMDb made me do it. And I didn't regret it.
What I want to say first is that is still Marvel. Marvel is rich in a variety of characters and plot, as well as new ideas how to attract audiences. They did a good job with Netflix. They were also pleasantly surprised by hints of other projects of their Cinematic Universe, such as the Avengers or Thor.
Second, an ideal atmosphere is created. Good action drama with elements of neo-noir. Speaking of action, I liked 3-minute scene in the 2nd episode, shot without editing. Overall, all the fighting scenes were pleasant. Moreover, the series has good dialogue, not dry, but not so much water.
This is the first superhero movie or series. In it, the protagonist gets tired during a fight, does not always win, and recovers from injuries not one day, but several , which is very surprising. Remember, for example, Arrow There, the hero almost always wins (except for the events of season 3, when the Arrow almost died), he is saved by magic mushrooms and five-year experience. Funny.
Next, actors. I think Charlie Cox did a great job as a blind vigilante. Also, I can’t help but mention Rosario Dawson, which I liked so much in Trans. Her character represents a certain love interest of the main character; the continuation of their love line, I hope, we will see next season. I also want to note Deborah Anne Wall, who appeared in the role of a slightly downtrodden cute young blonde Karen, and Vincent D’Onofrio, who played the main antagonist, chic and influential Wilson Fisk, who coped perfectly with the characters of their characters.
Flashbacks. They give a certain tragic situation, fully reveal the essence of the characters, the motives of their actions and actions.
I cannot but say that there is a version of the series for the visually impaired and the blind, which significantly expands the audience. Another nice thing is that the series is released in a volley on Netflix, so you do not have to wait for a new series every week. The new season is still a year away.
In general and in general, the series goes “hurrah”. I watched all 13 episodes in 2 days. I recommend watching everyone who likes stories where good boys with a dark past beat bad with a dark present, who wants to see something better than Agents of SHIELD or The Flash, who is interested in drama without calf tenderness.
P.S. I also want to note the magnificent variety of Russian mats and expressions, which were translated even in Russian voice acting. "Tanks rumbled on the field" - singing this song, according to the Americans, the Russians meet death.

The first season of the series about the adventures of blind avocado against evil in Hell’s Kitchen.
The best project from Marvel Studios! For me, Daredevil has become a favorite series, everything is perfect here, from the screensaver and ending with a magnificent script, amazing acting and incredible combat choreography!
The scene at the end of Episode 2 was the best stretch of the whole series, and oh yeah, the scene when Vladimir started singing the song at the end of Episode 6... it was a masterpiece! The Russians were shown perfectly, not as stupid drunkards, but as a force to be feared! There were references, a lot of Easter eggs, one struck me, I will share later.
Gloomy, tough and no romance, no vanilla! Only blood and broken bones. The fighting scenes are fantastic, just incredible!
The actors are incredibly cool, without exception! All the characters are perfectly revealed, especially the Kingpin, you need to see it yourself.
The series is as close to realism as possible, although of course haters will always find something to complain about.
The best series about a superhero in the 21st century so for sure!
10 out of 10!
The new series streaming video service Netflix, known for its heavyweight “House of Cards” with Kevin Spacey at the head, does not let go of itself for long. The release of Daredevil should be considered as part of the popular direction for the release of comic book series today. From this position, he stands on a par with such projects as Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, etc. Moreover, “the events of the series develop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe”, and therefore stand on the same line with the feature films from this studio and its television projects: “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Agent Carter”, without thinking about short films. But it wasn't!
Yes, the events take place in the same cinematic universe, the action in the series takes place three years after the Chitauri attack on New York, which can be observed in the movie “The Avengers”. And what to say in the series is not just a lot of references to these events, but they were crucial to everything that happens in this show. Given that the series was released a few weeks before the world premiere of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, the events in it apparently take place before the uprising of the “mad computer”.
The difference between Daredevil and other Marvel projects is its age audience. Again, if you think that this series will be a fun set of special effects in imitation of superhero action movies or it will be an unpretentious walk, with many plot twists like in “Agents...”, then you are mistaken. Daredevil is indeed a comic book series, and one would expect that from it, just remember the 2003 film. But the comics, on the basis of which this breath of air is filmed, belong to the pen of Frank Miller, the author of such masterpieces as “Sin City” and “300 Spartans”, and these comics are dark, dramatic, like his stories about the New York hero.
The first season tells the stories of several residents of the Clinton neighborhood in Manhattan, better known as Hell’s Kitchen. Some of them were born there and lived all their lives, some came to conquer the Big Apple. The main character - the masked avenger is a blind lawyer who begins his practice, Matt Murdoch, who lost his sight in adolescence, but developed his feelings so that they completely compensate for everything. We learn the story of his father and best friend Foggy Nelson. Key to the series will be the stories of Karen Page and Ben Urich, the main characters in the comics about the masked avenger. Much attention, which is very interesting will be paid to the main antagonist of the film.
Successfully written and played characters leave only a pleasant impression, plunging headlong into the dangerous world of the streets of Hell’s Kitchen. The criminal world in the series looks really omnipotent, saturated with corrupt politicians, civil servants and all kinds of mafia, it is several times superior to the criminals of Gotham. The leaders of these criminal gangs create the impression of integral characters, their logic and the logic of the whole action does not cause rejection. The class of the series, its quality is evident, at least in the fact that different nationalities speak their native languages here: Chinese in Chinese, Russians in Russian, etc.
It’s great to see the philosophy of the series. Following the story of each hero, we will be told about their dark path to a bright goal. During the first season, the creator will have time to speculate about good, evil and their absence, religion, the Devil and God, trust, friendship, love and forgiveness. At the same time, the series will please the brutal to extreme fights of the superhero with the criminals of the city. One of the constants in the series will be broken bones, stab wounds, blood and a man in a black suit beating criminals to a coma and getting no less in turn.
"Daredevil" is very attractive to itself. Thirteen episodes want to watch in a volley, and after watching it is impossible not to wait for the continuation. But don't think it's perfect. After a cheerful start to the first few episodes, reminiscent of the short film The Punisher in 2012, the show gradually slides into drama. This, rather overgrowth, is actually pleasing, because the entire first season gives the impression of a serious drama, but either because it is boring, or for some other reason, the muzzle in the series ceases to be spectacular. In fact, nothing better, what you can see at the end of the second series is not worth waiting. Throughout the season, the series keeps its level, but it apparently lacks several explosive moments, we note, not in the plot, but in the entertainment. As a result, the last series is such a product that if it was the first, it certainly surprised, but as the end of the season of a smooth, good series is not impressive. And yet the first season of Daredevil is by far the best television project about superheroes and on the general background acts as a breath of fresh air.

Before watching, I knew a little about a blind superhero in a mask, saving the NY crime district from various bad guys. I could only remember that nightmarish film adaptation with Affleck, but nevertheless the trailer of this series gave me hope that Daredevil in my eyes was rehabilitated.
That's what happened.
The series has a surprisingly gloomy and dark atmosphere, even noir, ranging from the bloody face of the main character to the eerie glimpses of neon signage on the floor of his apartment. It's a gloom, especially when you think about whose project it is. Marvel? That dark? Oh, yeah, that's right. And for that, thank you to both Marvel and Netflix.
You believe in every hero, you empathize with everyone. Matt Murdoch’s monologues about good and evil, about the devil and temptations, about law and violence – all of them are remembered, creating an unusual image of the protagonist. A hero who is half-dark, who takes some pleasure in violence, who is blind but sees better than all of us. So I want to sincerely thank Charlie Cox for his work. For the amazing acting he did. For believing him with all your heart. Well, for a very good physical shape, the man tried, you can immediately see.
All the other actors also created amazing characters, ranging from the simple, but very strong Foggy, and ending with the unique villain Wilson Fisk, stunningly played by Vincent D’Onofrio. This is the case when the villain evokes the same emotional response as the main character. He wanted empathy. But, as I said, all the actors did their best.
I want to thank the writers, for well-written characters and a great script, directors of fights, and fights in the series are really amazing, operators, directors ... Everyone who participated in this project. This is an amazing case when you do not expect anything special from the series, and it makes you stick to the monitor for all 13 episodes and gnaw at the tension of the nail. My poor manicure.
But in the end came a really high-quality project with a stunning main character, who is not ashamed to invite to the universe. He's definitely not going to get lost.
A hero who constantly gets punched in the face, or a bad inheritance.
Nah. Well, while Flash moves into the past, Arrow renounces power, Batman has not yet reached the age of majority, and Agents of SHIELD are agents of SHIELD, in the serial world there is the first hero in the world who often gets on the face and other parts of the body, and also STILLS IN TIME OF DARRIES! However, I have not yet seen such a thing get in almost every series to the savior of people. And that's good! Injured, such a character approaches us, mere mortals, and it seems to us closer. But who is this superhero, you say? It's real! He helps people, knowing that he can get hurt. This is not Superman (shoot me - I don't care), and not Tony Stark (I don't care at all, I'm a genius and a billionaire in an unkillable suit), and not Tor (I'm God in general). Before you - Daredevil!
What does the series itself look like? Well, he's a head taller than his comic book brethren. Good fights, good action, lack of breeding love snot, but the presence of prescribed relationships between the characters colorful characters, a very interesting plot, decent camera work and a pleasant soundtrack. This film was shot in gloomy gray tones in order to convey the atmosphere of oppressive horror of the so-called Hell’s Kitchen. The main action takes place at night, so that the absence of light goes into the hands of the blind hero because he is blind. Well, in a nutshell, that's it. Which didn't like... It's kind of boring. Yes, it is addictive, it is interesting to watch, but a little boring. In principle,
I'm fine with the rest.
Let's try to tell more about the characters, because they are essentially built on the series itself.
Matt Murdoch. Lawyer. The devil of Hell's Kitchen. I liked Charlie Cox as Daredevil. The role plays conscientiously and externally very suitable to the image. By day, Matt is an honest, respectable lawyer with a cane, at night a tough but not cruel masked vigilante, risking his life to restore order in his hometown and in the city in general. He inherited from his father the ability to constantly take blows on himself. We will not be told much about his past, and this is not necessary in principle, because even now there are very interesting events that do not want to be interrupted by constant flashbacks. Matt is a loyal friend in life and a very good guy. Nice character!
Wilson Fisk A villain. Mafia boss. Kingpin or Ambal. Magnificently played by Vincent D’Onofrio, but not quite suitable in size. Anyway, I'm happy with such a big villain! Evil, cruel, intelligent, calculating and terribly dangerous man with his difficult past, who is no stranger to weaknesses. He wants to make this city better, just like Daredevil. What to do, everyone has their own ways to achieve the goal. And Fisk's methods seem very unfavorable to us.
Briefly about the others.
Foggy Nelson. Lawyer. Matt's lawyer friend. Not much about him, not too vital character for the plot, but necessary for his friend.
Karen Page. Secretary 'Nelson & Murdoch'. That's what really got her going. She, with the help of Foggy, promoted the case against Kingpin.
James Wesley A loyal assistant, Fisk's right-hand man and his only friend. I really liked this character. Restrained, always polite, but dangerous.
Ben. A reporter always goes all the way. Claire. The medic needed on the show to treat Matt. Leland. Fisk's accountant, who thinks he's inviolable because he's running the mob money.
Nobu, Madame Gao and the Russians. You get tired of writing about everybody. But believe me, after watching the series, you will not forget these characters.
There are memorable scenes. Fight with the Russians in the hallway. Almost like in 'Oldboy'. The fight with Nobu, where Daredevil got well. The fight at the end of the first series. And more, more, more. I was disappointed that the final battle was over. Expected more extravaganza.
Well, what can I say in conclusion... Very high-quality series. After Arrow and The Flash I expected the same mediocre product, but in fact it turned out that the series is good! I like the format of the 13 series. After all, more than 20 series are unnecessarily tiresome. Here they did not cram all sorts of plot slag for the sake of increasing timekeeping. Thank you for that.
Personally, I'm looking forward to it! I hope that the series will not pass.
Maybe I'm impressed. Maybe I forgot to write something else. But at the moment, I am pleased to have spoken about this series.
Good to see you!
I apologize if my review may seem spontaneous and not detailed. There's so much going on in my head, I don't want to miss anything, and it's hard to form all my thoughts, and here's what happened. Thank you very much.

39 And Matt, I really liked your original costume. Simple, but tasteful! Also, you're right 'Nelson and Murdoch' sounds better!'
I didn’t think that a series would get me so excited. I didn’t have Game of Thrones, and I tried to start watching All Heavy twice, but nothing came out. What to say about other, smaller, "fish." But Daredevil for me was like a breath of fresh air. Let’s start at the beginning.
Plot
I think a character like Daredevil is perfect for a serial basis. We all remember the ragged narrative that was presented to us in the Ben Affleck movie. Everything is much more measured here. We are shown the story of Matt Murdoch from the moment of the tragic accident to adulthood. Just the same in this very adult life, Matt will have to fight all the horrors of “Hell’s Kitchen” – the district of New York. The pace of storytelling is slow. Screenwriters are not afraid to stop for a few minutes to explain some detail in the plot. In many films and TV series (the same "Arrow" from DC) "stagnation" of the plot only hurts, but here it looks very, very appropriate.
I really liked that flashbacks (as well as without them) do not go completely, but are made in the form of a puzzle: the continuation of what we saw in the second series overtakes us in the ninth series. But it was done very, very skillfully.
Actors
One more significant plus in the garden of the series.
Charlie Cox is playing really well. His Matt Murdoch/Daredevil is just beautiful, and he is definitely better than Affleck.
Everyone else is playing very well, if not perfectly. I especially want to mention Vincent D’Onofrio. His Wilson Fisk is so good that sometimes I thought he was the main character. Fisk in the series can be a polite giant with a quiet voice, or it can be a monstrous Ambal, whose fury simply cannot be stopped. When I first saw Fisk go into a rage, I was overwhelmed by the rudiments of fear. There is no word for it, just look at it.
What struck me was that all the characters in the series are really alive, and you believe every last drop. Daredevil is a series where there are no 100% evil or good people, and that's what he seduces. Everyone has their own skeletons in the closet and it is interesting to observe and, accordingly, experience each such skeleton.
The atmosphere of the film is also beautiful. Dirty streets of Hell’s Kitchen, the offices and homes of the main characters, warehouses and hospitals – all this is presented to us in such a way that it seems “Stretch out your hand and you will be there – in the series”. Properly selected light range - yellow with dull green only emphasize the oppressive atmosphere of rotting New York.
The fights are extremely realistic and even... fascinating. The crunch of bones gives an impulse to the real world, and, for example, powerful blows look really powerful. And, of course, remember a 5-minute fight, which was filmed with one camera. Special thanks for the rating R = it gave us all a lot more "delicious"
The soundtrack is not very diverse, but for the OST series you can forgive anything.
The show does not forget that it is part of KV Marvel. Every now and then, the characters of films from the studio are mentioned, there are a heap of references (finding the Lee Wall is a holy thing), as well as bridges to the next films and TV series from Marvel are thrown.
"Daredevil" does not feel like such an outsider, who according to the canon is not (remember the series from DC - there with this bad)
Summing up, Daredevil is a wonderful series that was made with love and which, first of all, focuses on the viewer, not on fees. I am looking forward and looking forward to the second season. I hope that the other heroes of the line of “Defenders” will not fail. Although I think Daredevil against Cage or Jessica Jones will look better. The situation is similar to Stark and all the other Avengers.
In short, it's a great show. 9.5 out of 10. There is still a lot of work to do, but you can make a small discount on the fact that this is only the first season (although this discount is not necessary here). We wish the series and all future Marvel projects luck.
Be sure to watch!
Daredevil is a series that was very interesting for the first few episodes, but then everything rolled into snot and boredom. What do we see first? Great fights, interesting life of two aspiring lawyers and exciting events. What do we see then? Snot each character separately for nine episodes, no less.
I’m really surprised that the series, which has only 13 episodes, managed to get terribly boring. It has other shortcomings, but they are less important. Like horrible stereotypes. There are several types of criminals in the film: wild Russians, Japanese, necessarily fighting in the style of ninja, Chinese, who are not very different from the Japanese and even an old grandmother knows kung fu, and of course Wilson Fisk himself, the main villain. we show him very cruel and hot-tempered, but at the same time several series are devoted to show the ambiguity of this man. And yet he is just a villain who, when angry, starts killing everyone in a row.
But again, it's little things. The main thing is that watching is just boring. I kept waiting with the hope that everything was about to get better and the series would get cheerful again, but no.

Who would have thought a series about a blind superhero could be cool? After the Affleck movie, probably nobody. This Difficult comic needed the right adaptation for the screens and we got it in the form of a series. A wonderful series.
After a series of funny, funny and colorful comic book movies, it’s like a sip of ice water in hot weather. The gloom and seriousness from which we have all become accustomed, here played with new colors. Perhaps only Nolan and his Batmans allowed themselves to cross a certain line on which people lacked eggs. (I do not take into account the arrow series, which is also shot on serious courses and which is so stupid at first that I could not master more than two episodes).
Daredevil does not slide into thrash for a second, does not slow down in terms of intrigue and certainly does not let fans of competent action get bored. In terms of fighting scenes, it's even more than you expect. Staging, angles and choreography at height. Surprisingly, there are no outright villains and heroes in the series. This is perhaps the most important and strong side of the series. Everyone has their own uneasy motive, a complex story that is so difficult to tell in an ordinary, feature-length film.
In my opinion, this is a very strong action detective with an incredible atmosphere and interesting characters. You can watch even those who do not like comic books. Well, for those lucky people who love this kind of movie, I can only say you're lucky. You got the best superhero series you could ever imagine. Thanks to Netflix.
At first I didn't want to watch a daredevil. I like the comics themselves and I like the hero himself, but as usual, the Marvel series turned out to be caramel and clichéd. None of them I could watch beyond the first series, and how surprised I was by the new Netflix series. He's very good. Of course, there are shortcomings. About them now:
1) Sometimes during fights you can see blows in the air. This greatly destroys the atmosphere of integrity of the fights.
2) Some of the characters are still cardboard. Whether it's Murdoch-Foggy's best friend, or a journalist helping the main characters.
(3) The series is a bit naive and illogical. It's a shame that these shortcomings exist. Now on the pluses:
1) There's violence in the show. Not like the Marvel movies. Here Flisk breaks his head with his bare hands, and the fights themselves look like real fights.
2) Murdock is human. He's an invincible man in tights. Several times, he barely survives and is constantly injured. He's blind, but that doesn't make him an invincible killing machine.
(3) The Kingpin (Flisk) was very realistic. I felt his anger and energy.
(4) Russians. Watched with sabas and, surprisingly, translated almost normally. Of course, the pronunciation is far from natural, but compared to 'Red Heat' a huge step forward.
(5) The rest of the cast is not bad, but without revelation. There is no strong playfulness and paperwork. That's the main thing.
As a result, we have a great series about the devil from 'Hell’s Kitchen' It was interesting and exciting. If you love superheroes, you should watch them. The first grays are a bit boring, but after the appearance of Fisk, there will be no boredom.
Sumbur opinion from a lazy viewer and a simple sofa film critic.
Daredevil of all the heroes of the Marvel comics is the weakest in strength, but so far remains the most agile, thanks to his unsurpassed instinct. Recalling the already a little old, slightly lousy made film Daredevil (there was also in the main role was Benja Affleck), I want to note that the series produced by Netflix is very similar to the film atmosphere, only in contrast to the stupid version of 2003. The serial version fully and correctly conveys the spirit of the original comic, by the way, then Frank Miller took an active part in its creation.
And from seeing fights, the soul triumphs, staging tricks is also canceled. The criminal element is correctly transmitted and even the presence of “cranberries” can even please, even unlike the same “Arrow” and “The Flash”, the plot is not full of blunt dialogues, only in some places the presence of pathos per meter of film was great. But all this is justified, we are watching the comic?
About the actors, amazingly, Charlie Cox ('Star fervor), who returned from oblivion, conquers and gets one role, causes outright envy with his kulbits. King Pinn from Vincent D’Onofrio, it should be talked about separately, but in fact it is a real King Pinn.
The series is overclocking, but to put it simply, it is hard to believe that it will be able to maintain its usefulness and its quality will not die out from the already existing serial clichés in it. Let's wait and see. In the meantime:
So far, this is the best Marvel adaptation seen this year.
On the field tanks rumbled, soldiers went to the last battle. Vladimir
I, like many people, learned about Daredevil from an old cartoon about Spider-Man. There was nothing that I remembered for a long time. After there was a movie with Affleck, I would not say that he was bad, maybe childhood memories capture only good, but this character again could not interest me. Then there were comics, this hero is loved by many for his criticality and desire for justice, there this hero interested more, but best of all with the involvement of a new audience coped with Netflix.
I'll start with the pros. Great costume, perfectly staged fights, no censorship, Russians swear, sing songs almost without an accent, no hints of the Gulag, unlike the DC-brother Arrow, the plot does not blur into a bunch of small ones, but is concentrated around one person. Many moments will not allow you to relax, the moments are tough and tense, even knowing that the hero will survive, it is impossible to watch without emotions. That’s the difference between DC and Marvel. Here, any hero is worth his weight in gold, everyone has a strong story behind them, you get attached to the heroes and do not want to believe that the writers can take desperate steps. And they can.
Cons, of course, are also present. The plot sometimes develops too slowly, scenes of fights, although set chic, do not happen as often as we would like, the last 15 minutes are knocked out of the overall style of the series, the new costume looks much worse than the old.
In general, the impression is positive, the series is still small and I want more and faster. The second season promises to be more intense.
9 out of 10
P.S. See in the original or with subtitles. No voiceover will convey the whole game with the voice of Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk).
P.P.S. I hope that this series will interest people in watching another Marvel series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., in which, if you break through not the most intriguing beginning, you can find a great pearl that also does both DC series.
Marvelovsky 'Daredevil' great on the field 'DC', silencing all created projects. Drew Goddard clearly showed how series should be made, having in the arsenal the trump cards of gloomy realism, heavy crime, and non-trivial story sources. For example, neither 'Arrow' nor 'Gotham' nor even more so 'Flash' could embody the film adaptation in the best traditions, and 'Daredevil' bypassed superhero competitors, and looks much preferable, precisely because of the laudable implementation of the listed components.
Maybe someone remembers the concept - rollers 'Daredevil' Joe Carnahan, there really was a lot of bloody thrash, and there was a more elegant style. The project under discussion is still more pop than they try to submit, there is little exclusive, but as a series in 13 episodes, the spectacle is quite watchable. ' Daredevil' joyfully devoid of some of the essential features of the studio product ' Marvel', coloring their universe with new tones. For example, unlike Agents of S.H.I.T. A', the series is devoid of branded arrogant posturing, cartoon images that entertain the viewer, overwhelming epicity in fights and some more details. The product is more independent, not parasitic half of the season on the main idea, but developing on several lines that do not look like a supplement filling the time, but become an interesting application.
Curious construction of episodes, as in most series, there is no division into boring, passing and tense, each series is part of the puzzle, the desired piece of construction. The atmosphere of the action, mesmerizing with artistic solutions, suppressing the gloomy shades of red, and dirty yellow, is painted by the same "World in Fire" & #39; that the authors show us. The last thing I would like to clearly note is the main confrontation, a characteristic criminal conflict, which absurdly tried to inflate to the biblical, but thanks to the main characters, looks chic, no matter how you turn. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio played a standard comic book battle, but the creators also revealed their stories from an understandable human position, which makes the confrontation look brighter. Yes, and the actors did their best, typical series always lack the diversity of heroes, in Daredevil at least worked on the image of Wilson Fisk, Deborah Ann Wall, generally a female breakthrough, a vague intriguing disclosure of her character coupled with the game gives results.
Also, high-quality staging of fights, unearthly soundtrack, and affairs that make them require continuation, make the project outstanding and successful. But, perhaps, the most important intrigue is how the series will progress further, whether it will stick to the outlined style, or slide to a staged superhero cabbage, or to a conveyor melodrama.
The truth lies in the details. Some are barely perceptible, noticeable only to the eye of an inquisitive observer, the one who is in the subject. Marvel skillfully, brick by brick, film by film, series by series, builds its cinema universe, bringing comic book heroes to the screens. This lies in the very details that link different projects into a single storyline. The action of Daredevil takes place in the same world as other films of the forge of ideas. This is evidenced by fleeting phrases and newspaper clippings. But the atmosphere in the series is completely different. It is amazing how, together with such in all positive characters as Iron Man and Thor, about which indirectly, but will be mentioned here, such a difficult hero as Daredevil coexists.
These streets are filled with violence and violence, it is the hottest area for criminals of all stripes. And he deserved such a savior, he created it. Blinded at a young age as a result of a terrible accident, a lawyer who protects people in court during the day, and at night, wearing a suit, protects them on the streets. He knows no pity, only justice.
Unlike the movie, to which the series has nothing to do, here the story is devoted to the formation of a superhero. Most of the first episodes are devoted to flashbacks, telling about the difficult childhood of Matt Murdoch, and the beginning of his lawyer career. The rest of the time, he puts on his black suit, straight from Miller’s comic book, and confronts organized crime in the person of Marvel’s chief godfather Wilson Fisk and his associates: the Russian mafia, triads and yakuza. Not ignored the creators of the series and Daredevil teacher old Stick. With him will be a separate series with a plan for the plot of future seasons, plus a few more vague hints of the “Clan of the Hands”. Otherwise, the creators did not follow the banal template “one series – one villain / one case” and made a single plot for the entire season. Not without true friends, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. In parallel with the pursuit of Daredevil, they conduct their secret investigation and get into their troubles.
The cast is as good as the whole series. Such accurate hits are not common, especially in TV series. The most striking was Vincent D’Onofrio, who played Wilson Fisk. The best incarnation of Ambal was not and can not be. He was able to convey the fullness of the difficult character of this hero, his unpredictability, the transitions from cold-blooded calm to unstoppable rage, pure love and ruthlessness. The rest of the actors also did a great job and their characters are recognized from the first frames, even blackened Ben Urich, brilliantly played by Wondy Curtis Hall does not cause complaints, but forces you to ask the question “could it have been different?”
It is impossible not to mention the magnificent production. Each fight flaunts calibrated honed blows with a wonderful soundtrack, which is only the scene of hand-to-hand combat in the corridor of the second series. Due to the fact that almost all of the action takes place at night, all the visual effects of broken arms and legs remain as if behind the scenes, as Fisk's atrocities. But the beaten and bloody main character is not shy to show often. He is just beginning his career as a superhero.
So far, this is the best comic book series, not going to be compared to any “agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”, “Arrow”, or anything else. If earlier this serial field was occupied strictly by DC, which promptly launched the series after the series, now it’s time to make room, because only Marvel cinemas became few. And this is only the first of four series from the duo Marvel - Netflix, after which there is also a mini-crossover.

I remember about twelve years ago I saw the title of the film adaptation of Daredevil comics from Mark Steven Johnson. That movie didn't really impress me, but it did make a slight impression on my then childish brain. It was with Ben Affleck and that movie that my love for comics began. After him, there was Spider-Man, Batman, and then the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universes, but I remember my first time forever.
Half a year ago, I learned that as part of the expansion of the movie Marvel are going to launch several series, in addition to the already going Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and among them was Daredevil. At that moment I felt something, something from my childhood. I was looking forward to the premiere, studying the cast, the crew, and by the time the trailer came out, I had a little idea what to expect. The trailer also met all expectations, and the news that the distributor of the series will be Netflix, pleased me even more.
And on April 2, the world greeted Daredevil on a television screen. The thirteen-hour marathon that Netflix arranged made millions of people cling to the screen, and after a while, Russian companies engaged in voice acting took the baton.
Being not the most famous hero, Matt Murdoch made a lasting impression on the public. He was a diametrically opposite hero from the entire movie universe. We saw the eccentric Stark, the patriotic Rogers, the typical secret agent Fury. Accustomed to being out there, far away fighting a great evil that would eventually be defeated, they didn't expect to get a hero like Murdoch. Even the atmosphere of the first series made it clear that this was something that Marvel had never had before. The first thing that comes to mind after watching is the feeling that DC and Nolan were producing. The heavy, gloomy atmosphere of Hell’s Kitchen, New York’s most dangerous neighborhood, weighed on viewers and made Daredevil fearful. Only Batman and the gloomy atmosphere of Gotham come to mind immediately. I can't help but compare Murdoch and Nolan Wayne, the former reminds me so much of the latter. Becoming a Charlie Cox character reminds me very much of becoming a Batman in the Nolan trilogy, both of them have approached this since childhood, both have lost their parents, and both, realizing the dark side of their city, decide to fight crime on their own and with their own rules. Like the Dark Knight, Daredevil pursues the only rule he obeys unquestioningly: '. Daredevil is the hero the city needs, the hero it deserves.
The first series was not particularly impressive, we get acquainted with the characters, learn their past and get acquainted with their stories. This is one of the main advantages of the series - the elaboration of the characters. Everyone has their own story because of which they chose one way or another. The appearance of the Kingpin becomes the start of the entire main line of the series. From this moment, all events develop very quickly, secondary characters change: someone appears, someone disappears. In this series there is no rule of immortality of some characters, at any moment, any character can die. That’s why the writers are so grateful. Murdoch's gradual rise as Daredevil, his rise as a hero, is also to their credit. To build the plot so that the viewer after each series, like a drug addict, asks for more, a clear plus of Marvel.
And in the end, speaking about the pros and cons, I want to note that the only drawback that I noticed was the disgusting inability of Charlie Cox to play a blind man, no matter how hard he tried, he did not turn out very well.
So Daredevil is a series that is dramatically different from anything Marvel has released within the universe. This is a dark, cold series that is very similar to Nolan’s Batman, which of course gives him some charm. Fans of comics, and not only they will obviously like the series, and the story of Wilson Fisk will make you read the comics.
Thank you to Netflix, I hope a lot of people will be doing it soon.
I heard about this series a week before it came out. And I thought, "Another cheap Marvel show as bad as Agents of SHIELD." But I was very mistaken... 2 years ago, I started watching the superhero show Arrow. Season 1 was very good, season 2 was normal, on season 3 it was as if the writers had deflated, there was no logic and interest in the series. Immediately the Flash comes out, I thought “the hero is interesting, here I will enjoy a superhero show”, but after watching the 3 episodes I realized that I was watching a kind of animated series on CTC.
And of course, for the release of Daredevil, I was not preparing for anything. I wasn't even going to watch it. But after the release of several episodes, a friend advised me to take a look at this Marvel creation. I watched episode 1 and realized that I was watching something completely different that is not like other series about heroes, there is a completely different atmosphere, the story about the hero shown from an unusual angle. And I really liked it. I enjoyed watching for 13 episodes as a young lawyer from the most criminal district of New York turns gradually into a storm of the entire crime syndicate.
Actors. Charlie Cox I was not familiar with this series. But from Episode 1 he convinced me he could play blind lawyer Matt Murdoch. I think he beat Ben Affleck on all fronts.
Vincent D'Onofrio I didn't know him either. But his Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) is just a copy of Fisk from the comics. D'Onofrio is one of the "big" pluses of this series. Thank you to the writers for revealing Fisk’s identity in great detail. They showed that he is not just a stupid villain without any motives, except that it is necessary to kill the main character, but showed him also from another side, not familiar to us. He is a character with his feelings, pain and experiences, as well as the main character. Vincent D’Onofrio handled his role simply gorgeous!
Deborah Anne Wall and Elden Henson are a nice couple, perfectly accustomed to their roles. I would also like to mention Rosario Dawson . I was delighted to see her in this series. A great actress who played the brave, strong, sweet nurse and girlfriend of Matt Murdoch.
Daredevil since childhood was my favorite hero. After the failure of the 2003 film, I feared Marvel would not risk the character any more, and would put it on the back shelf for a long time to come. But the gods heard me and gave me the opportunity to look again at the blind avenger in a red suit. It may be a series, but it may be a plus. After all, in the series you can reveal much more than in a 1.5-hour film.
The idea of NetFlix to release all the series at once is just a gift for the viewer. That's a huge plus to the series, too. I look forward to Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones next year.
In general, I recommend watching this masterpiece!
Introduction: In 2005, through the efforts of Christopher Nolan, we finally got a different look at superheroes. Thanks to the way in which he told the story of Bruce Wayne in the trilogy of 'The Dark Knight' we saw that the story of a man determined to challenge all the dirt of our poisoned world can be told without the kitschy clowning of the three-part Spider-Man. Daredevil sample 2015 in terms of supply is not inferior, and in some ways even surpasses the last Batman. This is a dirty, contradictory, bloody and cruel story of confrontation between two ideologies. And here we are slowly approaching the plot.
Plot: This is the story of a novice lawyer from “Hell’s Kitchen” & #39; (aka Daredevil) Matthew Murdoch, who wants to make his city (the setting of New York) a better place to live, a parallel story about an ambitious criminal (who has not yet become either Ambal or the King of the Mafia) Wilson Fisk, who seems to pursue the same goals, but in contrast to the first, sees the construction of a new world on the bones of the former. In the course of the action, the future Kingpin will meet his lady of heart, and the devil will give up feelings for the safety of his beloved. Also, according to the classic scheme of building series, there were flashbacks from which we learn why the main character went blind, how he met his best friend and partner in law practice, how Murdoch gained his fighting skills, which made Wilson Fisk who he became and much more. In a nutshell, the plot is a prequel. Watching its development is interesting also due to the stunning atmosphere of the picture.
Atmosphere: Dirty streets hellish cuisine here really dirty, in fights (namely fights, not pretentious fights) almost no staging, maximum contact, minimum acrobatics, bone crunch and maximum cruelty. In this story, there is no place for sunlit lawns, only a gray sky tightened by dense clouds and a wind punching through to the bones. There's only cries for help, the smell of sweat, blood and rotting drug addicts in the corners. There is no hope for tomorrow.
Game of actors: In general, actors eat their bread and play their roles with dignity. Charlie Cox was well suited to the role of Daredevil (after all, Batman from Ben Afleck will turn out better), I want to especially note the game of Wondy Curtis-Hall, the role of not the first plan, but the talent on the face. Well, for the fact that in the series there are my favorite Deborah Anne Wall and Rosaria Dawson - a separate Mercy from me personally.
Result: Personally, I am very happy that there is a tendency to introduce 'realism' into superhero action films (although this series is more of a crime detective/drama in the genre) and the fact that Marvel is moving away from ' cowards on tights'. It's like a breath of fresh air, thank you very much to comrade Nolan. Also not to mention the excellent sound track, mind-blowing opening credits and wonderful camera work. The finale of the season is aimed directly at continuation, so I wish the creators of the series to collect crazy ratings and continue their glorious work. My verdict - the series is strictly recommended for viewing by viewers of any tastes and preferences, it deserves 100%.

Is that how a relationship starts? The guy meets a girl, communicates, gives flowers, leads to the movies, walks by the hand, whispers something in his ear. After a while they retire and the mystery of love happens.
What happens next? Everything is simple - the candy-bouquet period suddenly ends, the guy behaves rougher, not so gentle and generally walks around the apartment in underpants, socks and a T-shirt and watches football, not paying the lady the proper attention, and sometimes rudely, sending to the store for hot drinks.
So the series does exactly the same with the viewer - the first series are great. The story of the formation of the character, fights (especially in the corridor with the Russians) are delightful. Working as lawyers, solving some problems in court, the mysterious and mysterious Mr. Fisk. This is exactly what caught many and why Daredevil was praised so much. And even I started to convince people to switch from Superforce to Netflix. That’s the sweet and sweet period.
But then begins walking in underwear around the apartment - the plot stops abruptly and until the end of the season we alternately watch the snotty faces of a fat man, a girl, a grandmother, a black journalist. And so on in series! Fights of the main character are minimized, and his presence is extremely rare, because we are shown chewing snot. It seemed to me that Barry Allen, who is crying about the death of the mother, could not be worse. But Daredevil proved otherwise.
The series dies after the withdrawal of the Russians from it and it can already be safely watched from the 40th minute of the last, 13th episode, when Daredevil appears in an updated costume. Up to this point, everything is repeated from series to series, nothing new is happening there and all the same characters appear in the same places with the same dialogue and problems. It's unbearable and only saves scrolling. Although for a while you are still waiting for what was in the beginning: all the “candy” and “flowers”.
Lawyers cease to be lawyers and become detectives. Stop, though! For a while, the girl takes the title. But the show doesn't need it at all! Cut it out and it would be more fun. Fisk is a gentle and touching monster that kind of tries to be the boss, but, in fact, it does not have the coolness that I, for example, remember from the cartoon about Spider-Man 91 years old.
In short, the series gives hope that it is good, but, in fact, it is the same as everyone else – the first series is just fire, and then it sucks out of the finger.
Apparently, exactly the same feelings are experienced by girls, after starting to communicate with a guy who turns out to be “not very”, as I did after Daredevil.

Looking at the world through rose colored glasses
Everything is rosy now.
Look at the world and everything that passes
Seems of rosy hue somehow.
(Frank Sinatra)
Almost at the same time – the end of 2014, the beginning of 2015 – there were three wonderful series: fun-sweet and harmless as a children’s Orbit – “The Flash” from DC Comics, intelligent and simply strongly done drama – “Better Call Saul” from Vince Gilligan and, finally, Marvel’s “Daredevil”. Slightly less superhero than “The Flash”, not as lawyer as “Sol”, the project of Netflix nevertheless looks no worse.
Every era has its heroes. Every time has its own series. Those who set the course of television, and sometimes the whole cinema. TV series that people talk about and write about in the media. Titans of small screens, rising above the movie rental and overshadowing with their undiscussed coolness and genuine grandeur everything and everything. I will not lie, “Daredevil”, of course, is not one of these. But we need people like him, too. There must be something peeking at the Everest of the dramatic mastery of the "heavy"; embarking on a journey away from the carefree pannibraty of "Supernatural"; looking with healthy realism at the optimism of the cartoon world of "The Flash" and looking for its own path, wandering the roads of TV reality and looking back at worthy examples from the movies. So in general, I would like to mark the fresh season that pleased me straight from the Marvel Universe.
After the first thirteen episodes, competently and in the style of Netflix released at a time, “Daredevil” enough showed itself. It's too much. He was good, but the honest lack of pretension for anything more is not covered up. Apart from the elements of drama, and clever, sometimes insincere, but sometimes interesting dialogue, the series showed and said everything that he wanted. Basically, he looks really good and so. However, in subsequent seasons, he would not have been hurt by something new, deeper. But so far, what is already enough for a pleasant view.
I don’t know what kind of darkness and action Matthew Murdoch and the crew of this show are a little audible, but they do it tastefully and it’s impossible not to notice it. The essence of the whole "Daredevil" is dark: yellow, green and red plans, and the masked man is a certain devil of Hell's Kitchen, bringing order to this seemingly painted "Sin City".
Damn me if Charlie Cox isn't another Hollywood sex symbol! In any case, since Blind Fury (1989) and blue-eyed Rutger - then still young - Hauer, Daredevil played by Charlie - the best blind hero of cinema. (Al Pacino's Smell of a Woman doesn't count because he's too blind.) And as for acting — a point that most moviegoers should distrust when it comes to TV — I think the power rests on two whales: London-born Charlie Cox and Brooklyn-born artist Vincent D'. The latter, by the way, scares me. Whether he took his role so seriously, or in itself terrible. The rest were picked up as if on duty, and they played as well. There is no sense of irreplaceability, and other actors of the corresponding types would quite fall into their roles. But due to the link to the series, if you want not, you perceive them properly.
At first, when the first series passed, I thought it was a dynamic, moderately frowny series about a blind lawyer who transforms at night into a crime fighter. But after some time, when flashbacks began to appear abundantly, including memories of the difficult childhood of the main antagonist, it became clear that the authors were digging deeper. And not to themselves, but to the consciousness of the viewer, which inadvertently falls into the forgotten realm of the cruel past of the heroes. When I saw that the creator of the project is Drew Goddard – the director of the thermonuclear “Catch in the Woods”, everything fell into place in understanding what is happening in the vastness of the television series, seemingly not promising to be so creepy. And if you can still watch the moments with young Matt Murdoch and his father, then every frame of scenes from the memory of Wilson Fisk pulsates with the impending evil - and this already takes heart with its believable cruelty, which then moved from the past of a little boy to the present gorilla-like ambal. Thus, in Daredevil, hand in hand are fights at the level of Marvel fantasy (when a punch is sometimes enough to knock out a person, but in other cases, an iron stick on the head will be not enough) and the already serious thoughtfulness of psychological horrors and realities. I don't know if it's good or bad, but this ambiguity and this unexpected seriousness in some ways attracts something. I am also glad that there is no one-sided notion of good and bad, about who is the hero and who is the villain. Of course, we must not forget that this is Marvel, and it is immediately clear who is on which side. But still attempts to present Daredevil as a villain, and Fisk to show as a simple man with human joys and feelings were worthy. I admit, I almost bought it.
There’s not going to be a time when superhero series can rank alongside the best of the best, but they’re moving in the right direction.
A masked avenger pursuing his ideals. The protagonist fighting for the safety of his city. A hero who doesn’t want to give his name. A vigilante at night and an aspiring lawyer by day. His soul suffers because, despite his blindness, he sees everything and sees even more than the ordinary people of the city. He sees dirt, violence, injustice, murder, illegal business, drug trafficking, abuse of girls and children. He hears the sirens tormenting the city from morning to night. He considers it his duty to save the city and liberate it from the main evil in the face of a big businessman. He's Daredevil. Matthew Murdoch, who suffered in an accident as a child, lost his sight, it was then that he first tried to save a person from death, a person whom he did not know personally.
Any hero who stands on the side of good must find a rival - the concentration of all the world's evil. Wilson Fisk, who becomes the “main victim” of the avenger, also follows his belief that the city needs him.
But between them is a huge chasm that originates from early childhood. In Matthew’s case, it is a desire to overcome injustice, because his father’s murder went unnoticed, the criminals were not punished and no one was injured except a blind orphan boy.
Fisk, in turn, is trying to rid the city of people like his father - violent, rude, violent. But without noticing it, he from a boy who received “kicks” from peers grows into his copy. Fisk can't figure out whether he's a villain or a liberator. His actions are purely negative. And only one thing reveals his character from the other, the “bright” side is love. A love for which he is willing to sacrifice himself. Love is not for the city, but for the woman who can understand it.
Matthew Murdoch, leading a "double" lifestyle, like his rival, is trying to make sense of himself. Devil or Savior? Does he have the right to pass through human life for the sake of another? Is it worth fighting and is there something worth fighting for?
The atmosphere of the series resembles the films of David Fincher and Christopher Nolan. Dark colors that change only in the moments when we are returned to the past of heroes. Quietly playing music and panoramas of Hell’s Kitchen cause real aesthetic pleasure. Perfectly staged fights that don't seem "unnaturally played." Villains don’t have superpowers, they’re just as simple as us. The Russian mafia, the Asian underground enterprises, the drug trade – all of this actually exists and is not fiction from Marvel comics.
It is worth noting the presence in the series of problems of journalism and the media. A journalist who can't publish an exposé because it could take his life. The news, which is bribed by Fisk, does not show the residents of the city the truth. The Savior is portrayed as a murderer, and the murderer as a respectable, lawful citizen. Isn't it relevant for our time?
This is a series that shows modern life. What happens in the politics of the state, or even in the politics of a small town, happens in Hell’s Kitchen. Laws do not apply to influential segments of society. Money is the engine of progress. Those who possess them are outside the law. They have the right to murder, to a crime, they will have nothing for it.
And we can only ask ourselves: why is it that a blind man is able to see it and wants to fight it, while we close our eyes and humble ourselves?

I’m a longtime fan of Daredevil in the comics and I’ve been looking forward to the series. I was very afraid of this product. I was afraid that because of high expectations, I could be very disappointed if the series turned out to be bad. I was pleasantly surprised by the final result. This is the best Marvel project since Iron Man.
The series takes place in the same universe as the studio’s films, there are a huge number of hints: passers-by discuss the events of the Avengers, other superheroes of the cinematic universe, etc. However, this story is more human, meaningful, close. The hero does not have an iron suit or a magic hammer to knock out drugs and criminals. He doesn't have the regeneration factor to heal his wounds overnight. He has no huge fortune, no power or friends in a top-secret organization. In other words, Matt Murdoch is the simplest person with a difficult view of the world. He has friends, a full-time job, and unlike many Marvel or DC characters, he doesn’t just try to help people by wearing a mask at night. His actions are associated not so much with the childhood trauma of most comic book characters, but with his faith in his business - with the belief that it is possible to change everything. He is not a boy scout without flaws like Superman or Captain America, he is not a terminator waving a cloak like Batman, he is, as I said before, a simple man. It can not cause 100% sympathy in the audience. Murdoch can be cruel and angry. This is the whole charm of the series. We're being poked the rigors of Hell's Kitchen right in the face. The gloom of the series can compete with the “Dark Knight” Nolana can even beat him in some places.
It is worth commending the creators for the fact that they carefully treated the original and were able to adapt it to the modern viewer. The characters are very well spelled out and harmonize against the background of each other, they are interesting to watch and worry about. Separate mention are battle scenes. There are no words. The last 4 minutes of the second series is something. In some places, the creators flirt with acrobatics, but can this be considered a minus just because it looks good?
Of course, there are long series, but do not think about it against the background of the overall picture. After all, in general, the narrative is gradual and with each series of puzzles, it folds into a picture. In other words, the whole season should be seen as one. Of the disadvantages, one can only note some secondaryity (relative to all films and comic book series), and sometimes stamping and stupidity. But we're used to that. A separate mention is "Kingpin". Remember Fisk from the 2003 Ben Affleck movie? Just a collection of innate villainous clichés. And if you compare Fisk and Fisk from the series, there is a great contrast. In the series, he is cruel and angry, but very solidarity with his interlocutors and opponents, you can see the regal spirit and the power not to be afraid to get your hands dirty. A lot to thank the actor Vincent D’Onofrio. A hero is only as great as his villain.
What we have in the end: a great script, interesting characters, one of the most canonical comic book series, bright and interesting action, great cast, atmosphere, a sea of memorable moments, the absence of unnecessary pathos in contrast to Batman, dynamic and consistent storytelling, a bright villain, a huge number of references for fans of Marvel and Daredevil, an excellent opening of the hero, a great message. The list can go on and on.

P.S. For those who call the series disgusting and completely licked with Nolan. If you don't like it so much, why are you watching and discussing it? If you're such a Marvelphobe, just walk by. The rest, be it fans of comics or a simple viewer, look ahead.
All comparisons with other comic book characters were made exclusively within the framework of films. I expressed my opinion about the elaboration of characters in the cinema, and not in comics because this is an independent work.
Surprisingly, any series for which Marvel takes, immediately enough huge ratings. And every time I'm surprised and include another show, I sit down and give a loan in a season or half. I dropped Daredevil on Episode 8.
Characters are revealed by the most template flashbacks that can be. In general, to be honest, they are not there at all. Fisk is just a bald, fat dwarf who, no matter how the authors try, does not look big and formidable, but rather resembles that villain with a pinky at the mouth from Austin Powers. There is also a Daredevil teacher there. As the character was introduced, so it was brought out. It doesn't make sense.
Fights are unnecessary, protracted, disgustingly staged, in the movements there is often a hulk or some unnecessary sketch. The action always takes place in the poorest, most clawed for the militants of the 80s entourage: against the background of some brick wall, docks, parking lots.
The hero's blindness, where is she? She's gone! He just walks around, always recognizes everyone. And you just take it on faith - he is blind (the only thing they tell you about the life of a blind man - he reads with his fingers, thank you for not forgetting about it).
In 8 episodes, I have never felt the... He doesn't seem to be... There are no moving characters... Yes, Murdoch is threatened time after time by a new intermediate villain, then another and another.
Actors do not even play, allegedly blind dude always moves his eyes and looks sexy, the rest are furniture. What Dawson forgot I never understood. In short, it's better to revisit that mediocre movie with Affleck, where the blind man is blind, Fisk, although black, but Fisk, and at the end of it all you see something. Well, it'll take less time.
So I couldn't help it. After reading positive reviews and negative ones, I had words to tell about this series in general. What I saw was a lot better than the other Marvel, DC, and regular series (apart from a couple that came out in the spring).
Let’s start in order.
Actors. Actors play, to be honest, at an average level, but there is something that all these little minuses disappear from. Let’s start with the devil of hell’s kitchen (well, or a daredevil as you like) the actor plays well, looks at one point, walks with a stick as expected, but not who complain: ' can not so blind run on roofs, not seeing anything, there is no realism' I was surprised that the series explained this and revealed the talent of the main character. It's like a comic book. And thanks to this little explanation, it is not the big shortcomings that are forgiven, but they are quite acceptable. I should probably write that the abilities or skills that our protagonist shows are quite plausible (thanks to Charlie Cox for that). I cannot say anything about his other close friends. Clichéd friends, good mood, a little humor is also a plus. Very interesting character Karen Paige, honestly, I did not expect this from her.
So we move away from the peaceful and pass the main feature of this series, which eclipsed the main character in pathos and revealability of character ' Wilson Fisk' (played by the magnificent actor Vincent D’Onofrio). When he appeared in the first episode of the series, I thought, ‘'hmm, the same type of villain as the Mafia' but I was wrong and the creators revealed his character completely. What's the point when Fisk's date is interrupted? At one point, I thought, why don't they make a Wilson Fisk series? The fact is that both Daredevil and Fisk were revealed in the same way, from a young age to the present, and that’s a big thank you because I didn’t know much about Wilson and now I realize he’s cool (really cool). The rest of the characters are also in place, play well, try to see it, but Fiska is still far away.
So for acting in general, I will put 7 out of 10
Special effects and visual style. To be honest, there are few special effects, but this is not a bad thing. The fact is that the writers and producers decided to show a believable picture, not an iron man without bruises. . There's everything. From the protagonist's shortness of breath to the criminals' broken limbs, and oh my God, it's realistic. Yes, I know that there are not people who can say that this is done in order to save money, but is it not cool that for this money they showed it? Sometimes you wonder how much the movie costs, because it turns out that you can shoot cheaply, but angry. The atmosphere is a big plus. Dark colors, wet walls. You don't need anything else and that's great. I want to say that the operator and the editor (and there are many of them) are great. There are scenes in the series where everything goes in one shot. Anything is forgivable for that.
Thanks to the visual style and special effects, I wanted to look more and more into this world, so I’ll put 9 out of 10 (don’t dig in).
Scenario. And so the series came out immediately so that I can say that the script is not bad in principle, but expected. If you look at the big picture, in principle everything is quite simple. You can see that the writers saw the end, the point of apotheosis. But (as always but) details. I can’t say that every episode is about something. Yes, they have a name and something is happening, but everything goes as it should. I have not seen such a smooth narrative in a long time. Everything goes quite slowly, but very interesting revealing the overall scenario. I didn't see the wrong dialogue. I haven't seen the wrong characters. I haven't seen mistakes or blunders. I haven't seen the wrong fight scenes. Everything in the series is necessary for the overall picture. I see the script is simple, but they made it sweet. But I want to say a big thank you to the writers for caring more about Wilson Fisk than the main character until the last scenes. I feel sorry for him. It’s like opening up a character so that I’m going to experience a monster...there are no words great. I remember the whole series and I’m ready to watch it. There are hints of other heroes. Marvel fans will appreciate it.
So I’ll put a solid 8 out of 10 script (there wouldn’t be Fisk 6 out of 10).
You can't dig into the rest either. The sounds and the soundtrack are good in principle, but I don’t remember anything that played there. Well, you can praise the sound, in principle, in some places there was only sound, not battle, but my head knew that there was a fight and everything was serious. I also want to say that the opening of the series personifies the main character and Hell's Kitchen that both the footage and the music of John Pesan are magnificent.
And so Marvel Studios and Netflix really did. They have the best comic book series from Marvel and a good competitor to DC. Now Marvel takes the bar in cinema, but they have already approached television. Is that bad? I don't know, for an amateur. But if they keep trying, Marvel will win!
In the end, a good show to pass the time.
I've just finished watching the best superhero on TV (although Netflix is, like, online TV). The advantage of Netflix is that they play the whole season at once, unlike Arrow (which I thought was the best TV adaptation of the comics), which comes out in 3 episodes in 3 months and is delayed for 8-9 months, yes in Arrow 23, but they fucking know what. The same season 3, where in one episode of Vertigo, there is Ras'c al Ghul and everything against the background of flashbacks in China. There's a sense of plot integrity. Properly shown childhood, becoming, etc. The season is built on the confrontation with Kingpin, whose childhood is also shown in flashbacks. And in the same Arrow where there was Deathstroke, which they didn't know what to put on. He's normal, he's angry, he's changed because of drugs, you know what the fuck. Everything is complete and you want to know what happens next. At the end of the series there are twists, and thanks to the same Netflix sequel you can find out immediately, and not wait a week, two weeks, two months (this is all about the same Arrow).
I would also like to talk about caste. He's great. Actors who played in the series you are unlikely to see on the big screens, but most of them are known to fans of various detective series (CSI, Law and Order, etc.). But still, there are those I recognize. This is actually Charlie Cox (the main character), whom I saw in the film ' The Theory of Everything', a biopic about Stephen Hawking, where he had a supporting role. And how not to know Bob Gunton, who is known to everyone as the director of the Shawshank prison (we are talking about the film ' The Shawshank Escape').
I didn’t like the action scenes, but seeing the finale of the second episode, where the fight was filmed in one take, it becomes clear that it was wildly cool and cost the creators, actors and backups no small forces.
I can say with confidence that this is the best superhero series that has taken the best of comics and added a lot of new stuff. It's got blood, it's got gloom, it's got a great story to tell, it's all things that Marvel never had. I'm looking forward to season two. There are rumors that there will be Marked and Electra. I hope they don't leak. They also say that before the sequel will be 4 series on Netflix, all from the same Marvel. Let's wait. Next will be 'A.K.A Jessica Jones' starring David Tennath and Kristen Ritter. Jdemss.
Daredevil is worth 13 hours spent on it, and I still want to reconsider it.
