When a greedy landlord taxed the peasants on the snow, the two old men had no money to satisfy their owner’s appetite. The insatiable scoundrel took a large pot of oil from them in return, but the grandson of the old people did not want to put up with this.
Sneaking to the landlord’s house, the boy overheard his conversation with the guard: “Let him lie down to the carnival, the carnival will come – and future!” The fool did not understand what was being said, and the peasant grandson, introducing himself as Maslenitsa, easily received his pot from her hands.
