Gostinsky was born in the city of Kiev in the family of an employee. In 1934, the Gostinsky family moved to Moscow, where Vyacheslav continued his studies at school. In 1938, he began his work, as he had to support his sick mother and sister. In the same year, Gostinsky first starred in the movie in the adventure film by Vladimir Weinstock “Youth of Commanders”.
In the period from 1938 to 1941, Vyacheslav Vyacheslavovich worked as an actor at the Soyuzdetfilm film studio, the Yermolova Theater, the Musical Comedy Theater of the KF ASSR. During the Great Patriotic War he went to the front with a front-line theater and ensemble. At the same time in 1941-1943 he studied at the acting faculty of the Glazunov School, and in 1943-1944 at the acting faculty of the Shchukin Theatre School. In the same period, he starred in the films “We are waiting for you with a victory” (volunteer), “Duel” (violinist of the front brigade), “Ivan the Terrible” (ambassador Sigismund), “It was in the Donbass” (anarchist Sosnovsky).
After the war, Gostinsky worked in the Theater of Miniatures, actively performed on the stage. In 1960 he was enrolled in the staff of the Gorky Film Studio. The actor acted a lot and actively, mainly in the roles of intellectuals and foreigners. Tom was facilitated by Gostinsky's representative appearance.
