Emil (Emmanuel) Veniaminovich Braginsky was born on November 19, 1921 in Moscow. In 1953 he graduated from the Moscow Law Institute. As a screenwriter, he made his film debut in 1955 with “Square 45”. Since the mid-1960s, Emil Braginsky has been working in a creative partnership with Eldar Ryazanov. Together with Valentin Chernykh, Emil Braginsky wrote the scripts for the dramatic film “Love with Privileges”, in which the main roles were performed by Lyubov Polishchuk and Vyacheslav Tikhonov, and for the comedy “Moscow Holidays” with Irina Selezneva and Leonid Yarmolnik.
Among the last works of Emil Braginsky is the 1996 comedy Hello, Dummies!, which was directed by Eldar Ryazanov.
