Only Andreas Kragler did not fight for Troy, and do not understand why somewhere in Africa, was absent for only four years, and Anna is besieged by not a hundred suitors, but only one, and his name is Friedrich Murch.
The director turned Drums into a variation on the theme of the medieval Dance of Death, in which the whole society is involved. A war rumbling in the distance is coming closer to their homes, a revolution is already breaking out in the newspaper quarters, but the dancers do not care. The cheerful space of the cabaret is inhabited by freaks who seem to have just risen from hell. close

The film takes place in a hotel. In one room there is a couple in love, in the other there is a violinist. In the third, two guys wake up with a hangover. Apparently, having taken quite the day before, they get up with one desire - a drink. Nothing to drink, nothing to drink. I don’t know anyone either, so there’s no one to borrow from. They decide to borrow. First at the factory, but there's no one there. Then the neighbors - the violinist and the newlyweds, but they refuse. A cleaner shows up to clean the room. The guys ask her for 5 rubles, and then they lose. One of the guys convinces the other that the world is not without good people. Looking out into the street, they saw a huge number of kind people and they are all in line for a hangover. Half-jokingly, half-seriously, one of the guys yells out the window to get someone to lend him 100 rubles. Everyone looks at him with surprise and does not answer. The answer will come later when the door opens and the man enters. He brought the children 100 rubles that they asked for. He is met with disbelief. The stranger leaves, but he is returned halfway, asked why he brought the money and offered to take it. But the benefactor keeps saying he wanted to help them. The situation reaches its climax when a stranger is tied to a bed and, summoning neighbors along the hotel corridor to witness, they try to force him to confess why he did it. He is suspected of all mortal sins. And everything turns out to be very simple and sad. His mother lived in this town. He hadn't seen her for six years or helped her. He saved money for her and didn't send it, and now she's dead. Everyone is silent, everyone is thinking about their own. The stranger is untied. Everyone asks for his forgiveness. On the table quickly collect a drink and snack - to commemorate the soul of the deceased. close
