Remember how Munchausen pulled himself out of the swamp? That’s how Daria Dontsova in 1998 had to pull herself out of a state of illness and despair, when doctors gave her a fatal diagnosis. And also helped the words of her husband - Alexander Dontsov, Doctor of Science and Dean of the Faculty of Psychology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, who, knowing the nature of his wife, found the necessary "points" that should be "pressed": "If you are going to die, then you will not succeed." You have three orphaned children at home, a mother, three dogs, a cat and me. If you do not make mankind happy with some literary masterpiece, it will not forgive you.
Before Agrippina Arkadyevna Dontsova (her maiden name Vasilyeva) acquired today’s literary pseudonym and became the ancestor of the genre of “ironic detective”, she lived a quite ordinary and prosperous life. Born in 1952 in Moscow, in the family of the then famous writer Arkady Vasilyev and the director of the Moscow Concert Tamara Novatskaya, graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, worked as a translator from French in Syria for two years, then - in the newspaper "Evening Moscow", then worked in the magazine "Fatherland", and eventually - teaching German and French.
So, Dontsova had to “happy” humanity to begin with the detective “Cool heiresses”, and by the time of discharge from the hospital “masterpieces” had accumulated as many as five. The medical staff was read by the adventures of a lover of private investigation Dasha Vasilyeva, and Dontsova after recovery had no choice but to take her creations to the publishing house. Since 1999, her books (about 100 of them were written, they were published in a total circulation of several tens of millions of copies) are published in the publishing house "EXMO". Extraordinary writer’s fertility Dontsova can be explained by her fantastic diligence: daily ordinary ballpoint pen she creates 15 pages of her next novel, despite the weekends and holidays.
For her current husband (before him she had two unsuccessful marriages) Daria left in 1983. She has two children - a son Arkady from his first marriage and a daughter Maria from the third. And Dontsova does not like the soul in her grandson Nikita.
