Artem Kivovich Troitsky, better known to the public as Artemy Troitsky, was born in June 1955 in the city of Yaroslavl. This famous rock journalist and music critic was one of the first propagandists of rock music in the Soviet Union and electronic music in Russia.

Artem Kivovich Troitsky, better known to the public as Artemy Troitsky, was born in June 1955 in the city of Yaroslavl. This famous rock journalist and music critic was one of the first propagandists of rock music in the Soviet Union and electronic music in Russia.
Artem spent his childhood in Prague, where his parents worked for the journal Problems of Peace and Socialism. After moving to Moscow, Troitsky led discos in the main building of Moscow University, and after graduating from the Moscow Economic and Statistical Institute, the “mathematician economist” (such was Troitsky’s specialty) worked as a junior employee at the Institute of Art History. Since 2001, Artemy Troitsky has been collecting full halls – he lectures and teaches seminars at the State University of Management. In parallel, he conducts a master class in music journalism at Moscow State University.
As a rock musician, Artemy Troitsky took place in the distant sixties - he wrote a review of the album in a school magazine.
